I'm sure Citeh didn't send him to warm the bench and Guidetti himself wouldn't have come to warm the bench. Therefore he surely has a major role to play this season. He's been at the club for the last 2/3 weeks and you would assume in that time the club are working on a system to get the most out of his strengths. He is only available to play in two of our remaining games for February so I would expect him to feature in both those games. March sees a make or break month with some massive games, I expect Guidetti to be our main striker and will be surprised if he isn't.

Sitting on the bench in the premier league is better than playing u21s

There's a lot of assumptions there.
I would prefer to put the assumptions to one side and trust the judgement of a world class striker in Mark Hughes...
Frustrating yes...but he has his reasons.

I have no idea whether he is any good or if he's fit enough to play.
Hope he gets a chance soon but I will trust Hughes on this.

Why what did crouch do wrong today? You heard anything about Arnie's injury mate, doesn't look good?

I've got the impression that Hughes isn't impressed by his fitness level.

I thought crouch started to look tired around the 75 min mark and thought he'd have made an appearance however Hughes wanted/ needed to take Whelan off otherwise we may have seen him. Im sure he'l get his chance and when he does if he performs well enough he may keep his place.
However like its been said really Crouch didn't do anything wrong today.

Hughes is changing the system to 442 so he'll have a big part to play very soon.

About him running his mouth to the press, but Hughes has said he will get his chance, but in his interview today he said he didn't fancy bringing him on when United were coming after us in the final 20 mins.

That's fair enough mate, he will get his chance and when he does it's upto him to nail down his spot. Agree with Hughes today though, the last 20 wasn't about bringing a individual on like guidetti it's about seeing the game out and keeping it tight

I guess if you are glass half full . I am just so sick of him being manhandled by smaller defenders. Did he win one header on goal kicks? He defended well today on set pieces but just seemed to be past it in the run of play.

Having questioned MH's substitution on Wednesday night, I think he got them right today.
Guidetti's chance will come, when the occasion is right, but I too think he needs to lose a quite few pounds (who am I to talk?!) to help his chances of getting a run out. (Assuming it isn't a doctored photo we've been shown.)

how in the wide world of sport can a professional footballer be overweight! You never see one or two podgey ones in the 200m hurdles do you?

Why what did crouch do wrong today? I thought crouch was useless and disinterested today. he never got into a dangerous position. lost nearly every header, and looked totally off the pace. for instance, in the first half walters put a very good ball in to him and crouch was completely caught off guard, didn't know whether to try a header or a volley and did a mixture of both, completely missing the ball. he was rubbish as he has been all season. If we had a good striker we would have had a great balance in the team today. We should stick with that formation but try someone else in that role. Perhaps this guidetti lad if he is fit
