I thought he was was utterly shite overral but want to ask about one passage of play in particular; The one where Carrick kneed it back to De Gea and he picked it up, back pass surely? The ref pointed to his knee like he thought that was acceptable but I thought if it was any part of the leg, it's back pass? I could be wrong, I don't need to know the rules inside and out but if he was wrong then he should be struck off. He was right, fuck him!

I agree. Wasn't Welbeck offside for their goal?

As that twat Francis smugly said 25,000 don't know the rule. Apparently you can knee it back

1 Ashley Young not booked for 4 dives
2 van Persie not booked for blatant dissent to lino and ref.
3 Their goal looked as though there was an offside in the build up.
I presume he was correct about the 'kneed' back pass.

See that Cameron hit the ball of hernandez at the death and the lil mexi-shite fucker ran over to the ball knowning it was off him and picked it up and threw it for a corner even though it came of his foot... The ref missed that blatant one aswell. But I despise united's bias at the end of every game always given by feckin refs as if "they deserve" 7 mins without the injuries or goals...

I agree. Wasn't Welbeck offside for their goal? He looked it MD and he was the reason Wilson played it, so he was interfering. If he wasn't then the lino was spot on, if he was off, he should have flagged.

thought him average myself, allowed the game to flow. I thought he got the van Persie decision right, not offside but let quite a bit go. Watch the replay and many a ref would have given a red not a yellow to Walters.

From the commentary he seemed to be overly influenced by the lino's. That is not good refereeing he should stick by his own judgement?? Anyway no major fuck up's and we won so who give a shit?

Dreadful for the most part.
He ignored many a foul from them and blew up whenever we so much we breathed on them.

The ref was about 3 out of 10 today, which is a damn sight better than most refs we've had this season.

Young should of been booked for diving, along with Rafael. Van Persie should of see yellow for in your face desent on the lino, and Rooney should have seen a second yellow for desent.
Walters lucky to have stayed on the pitch with a ridiculous diving lunge.
Thought he gave them everything and us very little.

I thought he was OK but still prone to falling for their 'cons' on occasion. Having said that, I can think of one or two challenges we made that we got away with. 6/10

On the plus side there was one incident in the 2nd half where Young(?) broke down the left touchline and Charlie ran across him and shoved him into row Z. The ref didn't even give a foul which was rather "refreshing" might I say

Glen was really lucky not to get the yellow when he fouled Young in the second half! That was just hilarious and showed how bad he and that linesman were. Glenn murdered him off the pitch and it was the right thing to do but they waved play on!

That knee business should be changed then, because in this case it was a deliberate back pass to the goalie. All these so called rules have flaws in them. I would like to have seen the decision, if it was the other way round.
