When everything at Stoke is going to shit, you can fucking count on this man to spark some life back into the club. I fucking love him.

If that had been Alan Hudson out there today then, we'd be reminiscing about today's performance for the next 30 years...Believe me ..I was there.
Adam produced one of the best performances seen in a Stoke shirt since Mark Stein departed many moons ago.
We are talking about a £20 million performance when you compare him against Juan Mata....but what does it matter when you beat Man United in the style we did.
I'm not exaggerating...this was an outstanding performance all round , but an exceptional one from Adam.
We may have turned the corner...better times ahead.!

I don't know what it is about Charlie Adam.
He has limitations and problems and hasn't really managed to fit in that well for most of his time here.
However, he has some fantastic qualuties and there's just something likeable about him, an honesty and willpower that other players just don't possess.
He's been excellent this season.

Has he lost a bit of weight? he seems much more fit, was practically box to box today and barely broke a sweat

I have been one of his biggest critics but today he was outstanding, a 10/10 from me.

Great to have a midfielder that can drive through the middle and be very capable of hitting screamers

Has he lost a bit of weight? he seems much more fit, was practically box to box today and barely broke a sweat Yeah, I heard somewhere he lost half a stone and was upping his game fitness-wise. This season, he has just got better and better. I think we are seeing the same player who played for blackpool instead of the one who played for the bin-dippers. If he can kick on from this, he could be (along with Bego) our saviour. Today was the best individual performance I have seen since Fuller v The Baggage in the promotion season. Yes, the team were excellent, but Charlie was on another level today.

He's definitely got a lot fitter, he had a right engine on him today! N'zonzi can sit on the bench for a bit, Adam and Whelan (assuming he's not injured) are a far more effective midfield.

When I saw him line-up in a midfield two I thought we'd be watching the game through our fingers...
However, he looks a million times fitter than he did last season. He actually gets about the pitch a lot more, rather than just sitting there like some sort of luxury quarterback pinging Hollywood balls from deep. Adam simply dominated the game, and he looks every inch the player that Liverpool shelled out £9 million for.
As long as he can keep his fitness levels up, being able to play him in a 4-4-2 or as one of the deep midfielders in a 4-2-3-1 gives us so much more flexibility. He is the key man at the moment and Hughes, I'm sure, will be planning to build the side around him.
Brilliant display!
