Displaying all the old Stoke traits this morning chasing all the old targets Scott Dann, Joe Ledley, he never changes a formula that works for him.

Why would he if it works

Because it doesn't work when he gets the players he wants.

Is it a formula that works? Both of those are names he FAILED to sign.

Because it doesn't work when he gets the players he wants. Yeah he can only do it when he inherits cracking squads from the greats like Boskamp and Holloway!

He's the managerial equivalent of Jim White. Transfer Deadline Day's were made for him.
I bet he's even wearing a yellow tie.

"And news just in that Palace have made a swoop for Zigic, Popov, Ledley, Ince, Cole, Bent, Ba, Remy and have surprised everyone by asking Michael Owen to come out of retirement"
if Carlsberg did deadline days for Tone.....

He's likely to attract 4 players to his club today. 3 of which would improve our own squad never mind theirs. Ledley is more useful than palacios. Ince is more useful than our own wide attacking players, and Dann is a centre half with the potential to become very good, an excellent back up to ryan and huth.
Our own manager is scratching his arse on deadline day so far. It could well be the boards fault because of money. But fair play to Pulis all the same.

Haven't CP already got the largest squad in the prem? It just makes us look amateurish that they can still get players in on top of that. Meanwhile at CW zzzzzzzzzzz

Considering where Palace were when Pulis started and where they are now, compared to where Stoke were when Hughes started and where we are now, it seems to be a bit upside-down to be taking the piss out of someone that served this club very well. Let's hope he's not taking the piss of our current team's inability to work 'aaaard at the end of the season. He seems to be doing the job he's paid to do pretty well at the moment.

Stoke are not, I have no doubt we will be only team in relegation trouble not to spend anything by the end of today. Still with the talent in our squad we should be able to go straight back up

However, yes joe ledley would be an improvement on palacios and dann would be an improvement at CB than wilson. If you want to get precious over that fact meaning i'm beating Hughes with a stick then mard away.

Meanwhile at CW zzzzzzzzzzz In the last transfer window they bought in a number of players and found they could not fit them all into their squad LOL Palace transfer Madness - Sep 13So like Stoke in previous seasons if Palace sign a load of players in this transfer window will have a large pool of players and will struggle to fit them into the 25 man. Player signs for Palace and then not placed in 25 man squadRemember last season we had Owen, Upson, Arismendi, Cuvelier, Delap, Higgy, Sidibie, Tonge on our books at times last season who hardly had a game and some could not be fitted into the 25. Then add Whitehead, Palacios and Jerome and you can see having big squads does not always work.

Leopards can't change their spots anyway. A zebra dunna change it's stripes and i've never known a giraffe change it's markings for that matter.

I remember Arismendi getting left out but then he was released anyway. We haven't had (m)any problems fitting our squad into 25 since we were promoted. I still think Palace are more likely to get relegated than Stoke.

I don't think he would. And I aren't sure he's that good either. 4) Wayne Hennessey is a fucking terrible 'keeper.

I still think Palace are more likely to get relegated than Stoke. I missed out Ness and Edu. Which makes 13 players if I am correct. A lot of those players ended out going out on loan and hardly made a contribution to the team. That was a lot of money on wages paid out to players. Having big squads is one thing actually using the players is another. I agree that Palace are more likely to be relegated than Stoke.
