The problem is we signed Guidetti for a reason and he needs to be playing, it's a tough one.

Assaidi pissed me off last night, needs dropping in my opinion. I counted a good 3 or 4 times he was in a brilliant position but cut in to score instead of crossing, and his shots were beyond poor.

Having waited a few windows for a pacey striker do people not think Crouchy should be given a go with a front 2? I think Crouch could play a massive part in our survival.

You know we have a potentially great jigsaw puzzle with lots of promise.
The picture on the box looks great. The only problem is of you can't put the thing together properly it's looks a shambles.
And the current incumbent is making a right pig's ear of trying to suss out how the pieces go together.
He needs to find the solution rather sharpish as my patience with his prowess is non existent.

We created much more without him on the pitch. We played some good stuff when we weren't just lumping it to him. Finally with the fast tempo we played at, we had all 3 of Odemwingie/Arnie & even Walters making runs. Forget Crouch he is gone in this system.

If we don't sell Crouch by tomorrow we can not afford to have him sat on the bench.

I don't know mate about changing,, I just think when we play on the floor with a fast tempo instead of knocking it long we look a really good side.

I'm working on the principle that Cattermole is the only likely addition. It will then be up to Hughes how he changes things.

If Cattermole is nailed on, then there is most certainly the potential for him and Glenn to operate as a cage, meaning that if we got a winger in (like Ince) then we would have the option to go 4-4-2 when necessary, which might be needed to get the best out of Odemwingie. Cattermole and Ince (or another proper winger) would probably be enough imo.

Odemwingie was ineffective out wide for me, far better through the middle. I said it on another thread last night, a WBA fan from work said that Odimwenge hates playing out wide and is ineffective out there. So where do we play him... For me, if we stick with Crouch, and Walters we're in deep shit. Time for a change, the result can't be any worse can it.

One of the big differences to me last night was how quickly we turn defence into attack.
Sunderland on a number of occassions made three passes and were near our penalty box, not hoofball or route one, three quality long passes.
We played lovel triangle or played it back to Bego to hoof it up the pitch. A few occasions saw Ryan having to sprint back to defend, they ambled back when we were attacking
Even with quick players now available we don't pass effectively with urgency. Their forward wide players sprinted out of defence once they had secured the ball.
We need to change our lineup to take advantage of our qucker players

Someone to build on and around in terms of formation. If we are so damn tight, I'd have no problem with offering N'Zonzi to Spurs as part of the payment and practically any of our deadwood alongside a couple of £Million to Blackpool for Ince.
