God how we are crying out for pace up front! We are so easy to defend against, and every team can push up their team without taking any risks at all.

agree 100 percent mate. We should start with odenwinge, guedetti and assadi with adam behind at sunderland. The front line today has zero goal threat, especially away from home.

We are so easy to defend against, the adverse team don't need a goalkeeper. Pathetic.

This is spot on! With crouch up front we have no pace meaning their defence can push as high as they like which means the midfield has no space!

Also as the commentators pointed out zero movement either , like statues up there .that's not just a lack of pace for which players can be forgiven but a lack of effort and application

Assaidi has some but never seems happy to back himself and knock it past a player.. To take him on... For some reason he always cuts inside....

Every game is like a training match. Crouch up top on his own has to stop

How many times did you see Crouch and Walters standing still almost on top of each other on the edge of the area waiting a cross. Plus we are so so slow to counter attack and lose possession far too easily. How often did Ryan have possession way outside our peno box but nobody offering him any option but to pass back to Bego who would hoof it up into no mans land or at best 50-50 high balls. Possession lost again.

It's not just having pacey players but moving the ball quickly.

It's not just having pacey players but moving the ball quickly. Absolutely. And players to make runs rather than just standing still. Anyone who thinks Cameron Jerome would make a difference at this level week in week out is sorely deluded.

Let's hope Hughes is given the backing to bring in players who possess this attribute, as the way we now play requires it in abundance.

We definitely need a lot more pace especially the strikers and wingers but what is missing really is a driving force in midfield. Nzonzi looked as if he was out on an afternoon stroll. Palacios was plodding and nowhere near good enough. Ireland is a bit thick and showed no ambition. Walters tried ridiculous passes and only succeeded in giving the ball away. Arnautovic is a show pony and not half as good as he thinks he is. The number of times we lost the ball in the middle third of our own half was criminal. Oh for a driving force an Howard Kendall, a John Devine or an Alan Hudson. The players are out there they do not need to cost Millions. AFC Bournemouth gave Liverpool a harder game and played better football than we did. They just lacked a cutting edge. We lack half a team!
