That'll be good, if it's affordable.

Does anybody actually believe it will be a 'high speed' rail line?
Yes it will have fast tracks and fast trains, but it will still be run by the sort of complete knobend who run our transport systen now and make a total mess of it.

Not a regular train user but the 11-12 times I used them last yr I couldnt fault them? Sent from my ST25i using proboards

There's a massive problem with capacity at peak times. This is what needs sorting out, not getting to That London half an hour quicker.

So the idea of HS2 is to have a dedicated high speed line to stop high speed trains having to share tracks with slow moving local stoppa trains and freight trains and Stoke on Trent councils idea is share the line through Stoke with local stoppa and freight trains It's bad enough to think that this is a good idea even worse to tell the world about it . Can I suggest the next round of council cuts for Stoke looks at their strategy and planning department first.
