Ain't that the truth. And the other 3% were sideways 99% were passes back to the player that passed the ball to him in the first place.

3rd best pass rate = retaining possession, yet some still manage to criticise. Maybe if he had options of a forward pass he might do it?

Has the third most successful passing rate in the premier league behind Yaya toure and Chico Flores One of the things about passing is it's not just how successful they are, but to whom they are passed...........Still puts him in a good light though. PS its N 'Zonzi not N ,zonzi.....just thought you might appreciate the spelling correction

Stats mean nothing if the end product is not of quality, fact is he has a real problem holding onto the ball Are you being sarcastic or stupid? The fact is he has no problem holding onto the ball. It does make you wonder doesn't it. We're trying to play a brand of football with a lot more emphasis on possession and we have a player who is fantastic at keeping the ball and thus keeping possession for the team and some still believe he should be scoring goals and getting assists. Leave that to the attacking midfielder and the three attackers ahead of him. I expect there would be upset with Makelele in his prime for not scoring or assisting as either. N'zonzi does his job superbly and has been one of our most consistently good performers since he signed. He's not on the pitch to make defence splitting passes or to score goals. The best way of seeing how important N'zonzi is is by watching us play without him, like against Man Utd in the cup. Our midfield was completely lost.

The world is grey, not black and white. N'Zonzi has been a good performer for us, but at times frustrating. He has a lovely first touch and manages to find the time in possession only really good players do, but too often he does nothing with that possession. He can pass well, but as with Charlie Adam's laughable punt into the stratosphere, not every time, and his willingness to seek out the easy pass rather than the good pass is infuriating.
I'm glad he's a Potter just a little frustrated we don't see his great quality as often as we might and should.
