To be fair, this might be the turning point for United.
Just watching the highlights, looks like United really dominated the game but they just can't score.

The shits only chance of a trophy is the European Cup. Their dominance was always going to come under scrutiny when Ferguson left. I doubt anyone thought the demise would be so absolute. Problem is Ferguson picked his own successor. He picked Porterfirld when he left Aberdeen and that didn't work either.

I wanted Man U to go through, only to suffer the humiliation of a mauling from Man C in the final. Can't see Sunderland getting anything other than a hammering - still, it's a fun day out, as we know!

But Man City will be in Champs League or does that only apply for FA Cup?? Only FA Cup mate. The losers of the League Cup get fuck all apart from a losers medal. The winner of the Capital One Cup qualifies for the Europa League automatically. That is if they haven’t qualified for either Champions League or Europa League another way. If the Capital One Cup winner finishes in the top four of the Premier League their Europa League spot goes to the team that finishes highest in the league and hasn’t already qualified for a European competition.

Sunderland (and the like) kept down by The Man.

To be fair, this might be the turning point for United. Just watching the highlights, looks like United really dominated the game but they just can't score. Just shows how the highlights are edited in a Munure biased way; second half Sunderland were all over 'em, and one or two of the Manure players with 'medals already in their pockets' looked totally disinterested. I hope this is a turning point...........the point where players stop wanting to go to the 'mighty' shit!

I was saying up until yesterday that United could always attract the best players. Can they now? No trophy this season, perhaps no Champions League football?
