It's a great result for football - Tues will likely be a massive anti-climax for them - bump back down to earth and physicaly and emotionally knackered probably

Kiss that you anti stoke wankers. How the fuck can you think Sunderland winning helps us. Dick heads. You hate united more than what's best for your own club. Absolute fucking valves Oh dear, your comments are pathetic just because some people wanted Sunderland to win a cup game that we are no longer involved in, but no you just carry on shouting abuse to those people. If you knew anything about football you would know just because a team got a good result previously doesn't mean they will in their next game, just check any team for proof

They were dire the rest of the season.

Getting your excuses in early eh?. Nothing do with tonight if they beat us my arse. How can tonight affect a game 7 days away? It's all on the night that counts. If they get caught up in the whirlwind of tonight, just like brum did when they won the fuckin thing, and we put in a good performance then we will turn them over. Fuck sake calm down

I stuck £20 on Sunderland to qualify at half time in extra time. 7 to 1. That shoot out was fucking nerve wracking.

For the second time this evening Sportsman; spoken like a true Stokie Sir! Spoken like a closet gloryhunting Man Utd fan more like who cant handle the fact that his heroes are going to win fuck all now and wont even qualify for europe. Happy days! BM I haven't followed all of Sportsman's posts over the years but I'm not sure what evidence there is to suggest that he is actually a Manchester United fan Mick? The point he makes is a valid one; there are people on this board, whether or not you agree with him tonight, whose hatred of United overshadows their love of Stoke. There are many occasions when we need United to win for our own survival, when there are posters rejoicing in their defeat. Personally, I am of an age where I despise Liverpool, because they were the gloryhunter's team of choice when I was young; but since we were promoted, I want them to win every game except when they play us, or they are involved in a game that has no bearing on us at all. I share Sportsman's view to the extent that it would have been preferable for us if Sunderland had been annihilated tonight but I equally respect the view of others that it might make no difference. Either way, it doesn't make him a United fan, unless I have missed some common theme from his previous posts, which I doubt.

Getting your excuses in early eh?. Nothing do with tonight if they beat us my arse. I blame the alignment of Jupiter over Saturns 4th moon, and that if we can't play in our red n white stripes then we are affected by that also... Also I hear Mark Hughes' cousins dog has died. We're doomed

Tell you what then. If Sunderland stay shit in the league and we beat them I'll hold my hands up and say I was wrong.
If Sunderland suddenly now attract players, rise up the table and piss on us?

So what happens if we beat Chelsea then - does that cancel out their buzzing - and what if Chelsea wallop us does that make us more up for it or less.
Weds game would have been more important to them had they lost tonight so I can't see what doing a poor untied is going to make to then.

Sunderland rise up the table and piss on us? Bit like Wigan did last year then You mean? They're done there because they're shit and got lucky tonight against a piss poor utd side. But brilliant for them, any team that adds to them wankers downfall is good by me
