they did them a while back £1.50, povies they were, i think someone has previously said on here that they stopped selling them because not enough people bought them, not too suprising at them prices though although people do pay £1.90 for a rights pie (myself included)

A pie lasts a lot longer, you only got one oatcake in the pack! 1.50 isn't a lot by Stoke's standards considering they're 1.20 at the spar around the corner!
I use to buy one evry week!

I'm sure they were £1.70 a pop. And you needed two really, single oatcake aint much use to anyone. And they always sold out of the bacon n cheese so you ended up paying £3.40 for a couple of plain cheesie oatcakes. Which was a tad extortionate to say the least.
Thinking about it, I had some absolute shockers too, the pie-warmers seemed to turn them into leather after about 10 mins for some reason...I had to take a fair few back and I aint the fussy type.
It would be better to have a mobile unit outside the ground cooking them to order. I'm sure if there was money in it somebody would have had a go by now though.

I did have an idea once, of buying a cheap catering trailer and towing it round the country following the Potters.
just do 3 or 4 toppings and have them on the go ready
singles or doubles.
however you need a license for each borough , it would be a red-tape nightmare.
would also need someone else to serve upto KO, so that you could go watch the game.
but it is feasable,
great way of cooking oatcake's is on a french "Galette" cooker..... a round electric griddle that is perfect for oatcakes, I picked up one for about £15 in a hypermarket over there.... better than a frying pan or grill

Nah not really an oatcake fan
A catering truck selling "Nutty" bars and "Arctic Roll" would do me and some strawberry Cresta.
You're all flat capped oatcake eaters in Staffs

£1.70 for one oatcake if I remember - Tasted like it had been microwaved (which is sacrelidge)
They are only £1 for a dozen, so it really was a rip off.
Mind you, isn't all footy catering?
£1.50 for a pie (70p in the Wrights Pie shop in Stoke) £1.10 for fries (about 60p in McDonalds!) £2.30 for a cardboard burger (again, 99p in McDonalds)
They must make an absolute packet!

Shows the last time I bought one!
£1.90 an with that you have to take the gamble of it being nuclear-powered and so hot you could still eat it warm the week after, or with frozen bits in the middle!

yeah i know what you mean mate i had one, one week and it was still too hot to eat as they were kicking-off for the second half and the next week, cold in the middle, you would have thought if they were gonna charge so much they could at least get a simple thing like heating a pie to the correct temprature right
