If you continue to play Walters whelan crouch Wilson etc they will cost you your job, we are spineless, gutless, talentless and are going in only one direction, you need to get this type of player out, and bring some pace and the ability to pass forward, the problem however is that no other club wants them!

Crouch has talent but you got me with pace... Walters can run for days but that's hardly a PL attribute these days. Whelan can pass but has no pace or attack in him. Wilson is just shit so I agree with much of what you say as it is harsh but much truth in it with all 4 playing at once it's just overload of the lesser attributes yes...

Walters, Whelan, Wilson and Crouch are certainly not gutless. The first three are part of why we are still in Pemiership or do you suffer from "convenient" memory loss? Ability etc, is open to debate but not their commitment to SCFC

Whelans job is to keep things ticking over in midfield, he's not meant to have pace or "attack in him" He's playing as a holding central defensive midfielder. Against Sunderland, Chelsea and Cardiff he was mint. Played very well at Hull, fantastic against Villa was screwed by the ref at Newcastle. Then was brilliant against Everton, man of the match, man of the match against Leicester as well for me. Played well against Liverpool. Yet now he's shit according to some folk because he had a poor game today, ALONG WITH ABOUT 8 OTHER STOKE CITY PLAYERS! I realised why i shouldn't get involved in debates on here, it's like not only talking to brick walls but like banging your head against them an 'all. Have another one

He was quite possibly out of those 8 the worst did feck all in fact it was a miracle he wasn't subbed at halftime! Or are you disillusioned to think he was "poor" Let me remind you he was going against CP and none of those afformentioned teams he had better games against... including Everton, Chelsea etc... no sir CRYSTAL PALACE. Huge stepback it was and we don't need 2 holding midfielders in nzonzi and whelan we need someone to link up with Adam or Ireland in front one has to go.

The problem is people don't understand Whelan's role in the team. I didn't go today but as a season ticket holder I think it's fair to say that Whelan has been 1 of our better players this season.

Whelan and Nzonzi have been playing those roles together every time that they've played in the same line-up this season. Mark Hughes plays 2 central defensive midfielders, namely Whelan and Nzonzi. That's how we always set up mate.... GK RB CB CB LB DM DM (Whelan and Nzonzi) RM AM LM ST

Agreed. Whelan breaks up play and passes it simply, which we need. Nzonzi is the problem. He rarely passes forwards and slows the game too much

Nzonzi was the problem and it confused whelan who usually sits on the back four it's almost as if the took turns one being CDM and the other holding midfielder and they just where off it almost non existent. I think Nzonzi needs looking at in all honesty he's so frustrating.

In this case slowing the game down by trying to pass forward but slowing it down and reseting it... Nzonzi needs to venture forward and run into the attack it's obvious.

Part of having two is so the full backs can push up and if the ball is lost they can help fill in until the fullbacks get back.

As a caller on radio pointed out why does he need to come back, facing his own goal, to take the ball from a defender, give it him back, for said defender to punt aimlessly upfield, said defender could do that without any help! Nzonzi needs to play higher up the pitch as he gives us nothing by dropping so deep. Also strolls about as if we are 10 nil up from start to end.

N'zonsi is a good player. But maybe he needs a break for a game or 2, get some enthusiasm back? this he has offered nowt for weeks now. I love to see a player that can pass and read a game like he does yet he is so bone idle at times, and slows everything down to walking pace. He needs a break, and a pretty long one.

I'd rather him pass it sideways if there is nobody in front of him making a decent run, which is usually the case. Get Gcam in that midfield
