Doesn't matter he still talks more sense than Labour or the Tories =)
35 years of voting Labour and the City is a shit hole full of foreigners and we have no jobs or education for our kids, I'd vote for Screaming Lord Such if he wasn't dead before I'd vote Labour again.
Other country Tories are little better most people in our City earn less than I did 30 years ago and I was only a pottery worker. £7 an hour minimum wage as a bribe , big shit, I was on that in 1980 working for Spode.
If Trouser Dog stands I'll vote for him.

A poor attempted slur to pour cold water and discredit on a man who holds a very religious stance. If this had been a muslim holding similar beliefs , Pike would have been using his 'race'... get out of jail card' quoting racism... Pathetic . It's all falling into place... mumf

Fucking hell salop, that's like saying I'm not ever eating an apple again because this one is bruised The point being they need policies apart from leave the uk For all the good farage does for ukip you have this happening which knocks you back I won't be kidding myself Al, we all know there's more than just him.....but there are undesirables in all the parties...there's an ex BNP member in the Labour Party , from stoke I believe Look, for me the whole reason to vote UKIP is because there's no other party that want us to govern our own country.....I'm not even getting involved in the scare stories of we'll be worse off if we do....it's bollocks in my eyes because being tied to the the good ship Europe as it sales towards its doom is just fucking stupid. There's the commonwealth waiting with open arms that we could be a bigger part of.......as well as being good trading partners with Europe The bullies of Brussels have admitted it's looking for total United States of European nations.....Cameron, Clegg, Miliband have all stated they want more Europe,.....so how can I vote for any of them. His sorting immigration out is bollocks, HE CANT, he is trying to look tough, WHY? Because of UKIP. He's bullshitting about a referendum,WHY? Because of UKIP. Our chancellor and his cringeworthy statement to leave Europe if they don't make changes , WHY? Because they are shit scared of UKIP. Some say the Brussels boys and girls laugh at UKIP, but I assure you, I've watched a lot of videos and from what I've seen their smiles are looking more and more like a grimace these days. By the way Brussels are piss themselves at camerons idea of changing them The EU know it's going tits up for them as more and more nations see a huge rise in anti EU parties......because of Brussels stance on FORCING their ideas on nations...some of these nations are becoming dangerously right wing......and it's because of Europe's anti democratic stance. I'll be voting UKIP...not because I want to, because it's the only party that truly want what I want ......it would be great to vote for a party that actually were accountable for their actions and not puppets of the EU pretending to be in control.

I agree with what you say some people are massively picky with what jobs the take/apply for. There are plenty of jobs around, not pretty by any stretch of the imagination, but there are plenty of cleaning jobs, fast food restaurant jobs and shop work. Some people think they have the right to walk in to a good job.

Autonet Insurance
Basic depends on how you perform in your interview, starting at 13k up to 17k.
They promote from within and offer an excellent bonus/commission rate.
I had no insurance knowledge but now I can look at working in large insurers and doubling if not trebling my annual salary.
You have to be savvy in today's market, I'm not looking to leave as genuinely I quite like the place.
If anyone does want any info then I will endeavour to get back to any questions as soon as I can.
We have opportunities all year for new recruitment and have a completely separate training centre.

I live locally, but I've not had a job in Stoke-on-Trent for 15 years. I spent most of my (good paying) working life around the M25, and if anything, the situation has got worse, not better.

So insurance, you think our kids can count and spell have communication skills and probably can drive. Good luck with that .
I agree ALL people should have those skills and I would enforce that if I were a politician with the power to do so, however most school leavers and ex pottery/miners/sewing machinist etc do not have that skill set.
We live in an age where most teenagers send mum a text when they need to eat because they are too shy/scared to ask. they do not walk the length of the City to get a job like I used to do anymore it's all agencies.

You need to look further than the end of your nose Riv. I work with people who travel from Blythe Bridge, Cheadle, Crewe etc all via bus, cycle etc. We offer NVQs and very good qualifications and training. Don't blame the schools around here, blame the parents.

Blythe Bridge, Cheadle, Crewe are well educated areas Meggsy. I suggest you try Meir, Blurton, Bentillee. and still you will not find a bigger idiot than Boris Johnson or a bigger chinless wonder than Ed Miliband.
We need jobs targeting from school in short a return to the days of technical schools that teach manual skills like plumbing, carpentry gas fitting etc backed up by a return of apprenticeship schemes not everyone can work in an office although in a small capacity I have so I do know what it needs. Also gifted children need to be pushed to their limits not just allowed to gain a simple GCSE which bares pale reflection of it's O' level forerunner and I have a daughter who has 14 GCSE's so I know about them also. We need our geniuses more than ever now to invent and push new industry , new ideas.
So sorry mate I have a big nose and it has seen far too much of this City it is beyond fixing unless you will countenance the taking into care 50% of the City's children and appoint a new body of teachers who are empowered by law to educate them.
Personally I favour the American system of teaching a years work as a module and not allowing children to move on to year two before they have mastered year one, being held back at school was common in England when I was at school for children who were struggling, today we gloss over poor spelling, pronunciation , mathematics etc based on how old they are instead of how clever they are. It's not particularly divisive as children learn at their own rate. My English teacher would be aghast if he saw how much I post on here he could never get me to fill two pages in a week and cucumber sandwiches made me fall asleep.

I grew up on a council estate, me and my brother with our mum.
I studied law at a very good university, my brother is a supervisor working his way up in a company with over a billion pounds annually in turnover.
We are not posh, we went to the local schools which had very good teachers. Mainly though we had our mum, making sure that we worked hard and had aspirations.
Yes the country needs manual workers who are skilled but your argument is extremely flawed.

My experience of the quality of teaching in the City was mixed ....good in some areas , but crap in others. I don't think it's changed much since. We need to concentrate like you say on those kids who for whatever reason will not be going on to further education by way of apprenticships , technical colleges etc and hopefully encourage manufacturing jobs back to the city. Will this ever happen....I doubt it. University graduates are struggling to find jobs nationally and the wages on offer paltry for their qualifications. Many seem to end up in call centres like the one mentioned previously.

I know my arguments are flawed mate I'm not a genius, but I have lived with a paper millionaire as a step father who was general manager of a well known local firm (now defunct) and I have managed a pot bank and a small office in the pub suppy industry,(miss this job, free beer at every pub in the city) I've been technical support on a phone for a PC Company as well and I know my tendancy to call people "duck" was frowned on =). It sounds as though your mum did the job for your family that I try to do for mine and I'm certain she would make a better head of education than the one we have as she clearly did a good job in the real world where as politicians today only come from a Private School and Uni background with comfortably off parents. For anyone who has ever read Animal Farm will tell you the Pigs look just like the Farmer.
