... On a wet Tues night that Stoke took on Bath City in a 3rd Round replay @ Twerton Pk. Stoke won 4 - 0 I think, but this is incidental, cause this was the night I met my wife who was supporting Bath & the rest is history. Sorry to get all soft, but who says love & footie don't mix...
Gooaarrn STOKE!!!

Nice story mate. One question. Have you managed to convert her from the mighty Bath City?

20 fucking years! Wow We had a bit of a jolly from work - afternoon off, our boss drove a car full down, got bloody soaked and I can remember his face getting a round in while in Bath and it was nearly £4 quid a pint (which back then was like buying a house ) It was 4-1, they scored right at the end which cost the bloke behind us about £600 on his bet, he was devastated. The Prem has its great points, but packed away terraces in the rain are sadly missed!

Nice story mate. One question. Have you managed to convert her from the mighty Bath City? I'm not sure that "the Romans" have ever surpassed that tie & neither would my wife call herself a Stoke fan, but certainly a sympathiser. The kids on the other are all sporting Stoke shirts as we speak...

Sure I went that game, did the mighty Gordon Marshall play in goal for us? or did we play Brisol Rovers who were using Baths ground?

Always remember the home game when Jordan played a back 5 at home to a non league team.
