Had a single alloy with a 10mm kerbing scrape round half the circumference refurbed today - not a bad job as such BUT looks nowt like the other 3 now - seems to have been painted in what seems a different colour and appears lacquered....almost has a glossy look, whereas the others (which are mint) are more plain alloy - hard to describe but they are starkly different.. Question is, is this the only way they can refurb ie they have to paint / lacquer in order to repair in this way - or should it have been done another way...... Any opinions welcome....

If your not happy take it back to the garage and ask them why it looks nothing like your others

As said above take it back if your not happy.
However there is a place called top marques in fenton around the corner from the duke of wellington pub that specialise in allow wheel repair/refurb. Used them a few times and they are a good bunch of lads and reasonably priced. Their claim to fame is they did the wheels for pennants chrome aston martin and ive only ever heard good things incl my own personal experience.
Give them a google, i think they have examples of their work aswell as price liat and contact details on their website.

Fair comments - may well try TM for a second opinion. Will see what they look like in daylight as only saw them under a strip light in the garage tonight but they deffo have a completely different finish

I had them do a set on my 4x4 a few years ago. They did a great job. Highly professional service and finish.

I agree with the others Rob, take them car to them and give them the opportunity to fix things if required. They seemed good lads when I was there, I can't see them letting to down.

I use top marques and they are great. I had 4 alloys done in silver...he did say that he wouldn't be able to get them to the exact factory colour but they were all spot on.
