We could really do with not losing this one! Or else we will be looking at 4 straight defeats with Liverpool soon to come

I had to google 'splash screen' to discover exactly what it was, which shows how much i know about technomological matters. It was one of the first images to show up when i googled 'stoke city everton' so i thought i'd pop it in here. Best i can usually do is copy and paste 2 badges, stick 'em side by side in Publisher (yes, it's nearly 2014 i still use Publisher) then whack 'em on here. I wouldn't know how to make a splash sceen **************. Maybe that should be 1 of my 100 new years resolutions, i'll file it just above "fix that wonky shelf that's bugged me for over 2 years"

What are we basing Assaidi starting on? in hope he might score another wonder goal?, wastes the ball far too much, not strong enough either.

I agree Jamo, he has some pace, but running into the corners and trying to beat your man 4/5 times isn't what we need.
He looks reluctant to put a ball into the box or look to play the ball to someone when he has cut inside, all that teams have to do is show him the outside. He's scored some great goals, I agree, but he must do more.
Pennant for example yesterday straight away ball into box, Crouch header on target.
Well okay where do you see Arnie going then?

I don't at the minute and I've been a big supporter of him. I'd been saying I thought he'd suit the withdrawn forward/advanced midfield role but he was even worse there. I think he'll have to bide his time and make some contribution from the bench before getting a starting place back.

I agree but during Villa, Hughes said its not a day for passing it around, then he shouldn't of been playing because he cant do much with balls over the top all the time, I still would like to see him in a false number 9 role

That's where Marko has been letting himself down in my opinion.

Very tough game for us. Can't underestimate Begovic being out. Sorensen is not good enough at this level.

Very tough game for us. Can't underestimate Begovic being out. Sorensen is not good enough at this level. We could always play Butland, yes he will make mistakes but his reflexes are sharp. Everton use their fullbacks as wingers I think we should exploit that & play 442 with 2 wingers in Assaidi (although he needs to do more still) & give JP a go. Crouch & Walters (!) upfront, keep their back 4 busy & disrupt their shape.

Premier League predictions: Lawro v commentator Steve Wilson"Stoke have not had a very good Christmas, with heavy defeats at Newcastle and then Tottenham. I know every manager moans about refereeing decisions but Mark Hughes can feel a bit hard done by because he was on the wrong end of some strange ones in both games. The Potters are still not in any relegation trouble, though and they should remain comfortable in mid-table. After two defeats I think they have a point to prove against Everton and I think they will get something from this game." Lawro's prediction: 1-1 Steve's prediction: "Excellent Everton to go marching on with another tricky away day win" 1-2

We need to beef up the midfield , use our full backs for width and give our defence some cover
