the penultimate away game in the last promotion season to the top flight, was almost as good as notts County. I believe it's still Wrexham's biggest attendance of just over 20,000, must have been 14,000 stokies there. What's your stories ? I remember bumping into some lads at 11.00 at night who were just setting off to walk there, mum had given them money to get the chips in for supper and they decided to use it to go to wrexham As I got on train at Kidsgrove station a lad was just getting off who I had bumped into on a train from Euston the day before, the train from Euston had stopped at Milton keynes and coppers got on and arrested him, the guard had reported him for being drunk and disorderly, he was a stoke lad (not a stoke fan) but I never knew his name. I thought they were going to arrest me as well as they but an old lady told them we were travelling seperately so they put me in 1st class for being inconvenienced. ;D can't remember much about the game but it was a warm day, stokies everywhere and we won 1-0 was it big bren who scored?

I was landlord of the Cross Foxes Coedpoeth at the time, after the game Robbie Williams (honest that was his name) a lad from the village who had moved to Stoke brought a coachload of Stokies to the pub, what a night. One side of the lounge Wrexham one Stoke,any-one on here at that one.To jog memories the bar was a shrine to Stoke with posters progs and scarves all over, and one Wrexham scarf to appease the natives

I remember my parents were away on holiday had the house to myself (well me and four other stokies) on the friday night. Lots of drinking - playing cards - more drinking. never got to sleep - ended up at the little chef in chesterton at about 4 o'clock in the morning - ordering pancakes
Got into Wrexham about 10 o'clock can't remember seeing any locals place was just full of Stoke. Don't ask me anything about the game - I've no idea.
