I have not had time to come on the Oatcake as I used to and I miss it for sure but what took place yesterday and for once a little free tine I could not let it pass.
If those decisions had been given against certain clubs in the Premier League we would now be holding a witch hunt for Atkinson, he completely ruined what was becoming one of the better away performances of the season. We were totally in control of the game a superb goal and no danger whatsoever, enter Martin Atkinson, the man who decided this game was going to be all about him. Some have suggested foul play and corruption; sadly I think it more likely a robotic egotist who wanted to play the game by his rulebook. Yes he will argue if he actually had the balls to come out and speak I did everything by the book, well firstly neither of Glenn’s challenges were bookable offences, the first wasn’t even a foul. The Wilson sending off, yes it was a penalty no question but whether Remy hadn’t the ball under total control and therefore should have been a yellow.
He then proceeded to miss a deliberate handball when he is 5 yards away and nobody to impede his view, the result of this immediately a goal out of the blue. I am sorry you can say its subjective if his view is impeded but when its right under his nose, what are people meant to think. If Ryan had done the same within 5 yards of the box, I am sure Atkinson would have concluded the lines weren't painted in the correct place and it was a penalty. Of course it wasn't just Asskinson it was the linesman also apparently the ball is still in play unless its in the crowd and up some fat Geordies 5 XL shirt.
It’s a joke at best totally incompetent and at worst extremely suspicious I go for the good old big club bias that has been evident for decades. It will ever be so sadly because Football tunns a blind eye to it, its only terrible if it happens to certain clubs in the media. I can take being thrashed 5-1 by a superior side but when its ordained from a prick like Atkinson it sticks in the throat.
So the Geordie masses they don’t see anything wrong, amazing next time they get a slightly dubious decision we will have gnashing of false teeth and beer guts at the Hawayling Wall, the outcry will be heard as far as Benidorm and all the orange tanned women will be giving free blow jobs to distraught supporters live on Newcastle tv and the reporters agonize over why they didn’t get that throw in.

He didn't miss the handball,he saw it and waved play on which is worse in my book Spot on - he chose not to do anything about it. Negligence at best, at worst unadulterated cheating..... As close to a definitive "homer" performance as you will see these days now Taggart has departed OT.....quite disgusting....
