It's becoming pretty clear that not one pundit who talks about the Ramsey incident can remember a fucking thing about it.

I'm getting seriously annoyed our club did nothing at the time. Poor fucking Ryan has to live with this slander daily and it is a slur on our football club
Shame on the club and all those in it that did nothing

Doesn't Neville remember his own two disgraceful tackles within seconds of each other on Matty Etherington ?

I've always been consistent. It's not black and white. I bet Ramsay wished he'd jumped!Bizarre, isn't it. Ramsey clearly did jump, at the moment Ryan swung his foot to clear the ball as it was nicked away from him. I bet everyone involved wished Ramsey hadn't jumped, to win the ball from Ryan's possession.

Disgraceful. Not only the ramsey reference but his actual point! How can you defend diving? To say he was riding the challenge is ridiculous because he would have landed on his feet.
Cock.

What really annoys me beside ex pros and pundits defending diving,is that the young players coming into the game (watch Januzaj's dive on MOTD last night)think that it is part and parcel of the game. It want's stamping out immediately.

Fucking Twitter for fucks sake get a grip. It's one mans comments embellished by bellends who infest this unreality. It's no more of a disgrace than posting it and discussing it on here on an almost daily basis and I would hardly call Twitter 'the media'. If you're that upset give him both barrels on twatter instead of whinging on here.

The young man has a lot of talent, so if Gary Neville has to back away from humiliating him in public for his disgraceful diving to keep him on side. I'll bite the bullet and say its a price worth paying. The boy has amazing feet, awareness and a calm head, sure he needs to be taken to one side and told to cut it out. Seeing it exposed on TV should be enough to help him work it out for himself.

Just like Lampard and Terry learned over their time at Chelsea and Young at Villa, that diving was ok. It is as much in our game as it is in Spanish, or South American football. It's always the big 'edded fuckers that do it and he will become one if people like Neville defend him.

Anyone caught diving as blatant as the one at the Theme Park yesterday should be automatically banned for 12 months. That would cut it out.

Pulis certainly never encouraged it but that didn't stop Ric trying it on occasion. It's an unpleasant facet of the modern game no doubt but I really don't think you can point a finger at any club and say they encourage it. We've seen Chico Flores doing it all over the place our own Eric Pieters went down like he'd been punched by Sonny Liston earlier in the season when someone brushed his face. It's all cheating it's all horrible and how the individuals responsible can not feel totally and utterly embarrassed of themselves when its inevitably exposed by the TV cameras I just can not fathom.

Why deprive the fans of such talented players like Bale for example, for such an extended period. Its cheating just like the professional foul that is a long standing part of the game. Where the ref is certain it should be a straight red. Where its proven in retrospect it should be a ban the same as a straight red for a professional foul. You just hope that anyone but the scummiest individuals will learn from being exposed as a cheat by the TV cameras. In a league with the TV exposure of the Prem its almost inevitable it will be caught on camera.

Can't stand players who turn out to be massive hypocrites after they retire, gary neville was a hard tackling defender, many many 50/5 tackles won and lost and would be furious if he was playing and someone went down in front of him play acting
Simple fact is, if a player wants to get out of the way of a tackle, then jump out of the way, there's no situation where diving to the floor is necessary to avoid contact

I only read a little bit of the 'discussion' on that thread (I don't subscribe myself, I get my fix of puerile bollocks on here)but one twatter called someone else a 'cunt'. Show me any proper media outlet that allows that. The media 'reports on' news events. Twitter makes them up.

If no one had ever got injured, no one had to jump out of the way of a physical challenge and no one simulated diving to gain an advantage, it would be netball. But it isn't. This is football.
Football is a physical game. The moment you walk on a pitch as a kid to get involved, you get kicked, you get fouled, you fall over and you sometimes get injured, some get injured badly. This is not good or bad, it is just the way it is. You cannot have football without risk or injury. If that is unpalatable, then you don't have to play and you don't have to watch. If it is as heinous as some make out, then they should trot on down to the local netball courts. And of course, where there is room for interpretation, there is going to be manipulation of the uncertainty and players will simulate injury, being fouled and so on to gain a competitive advantage. It is all an ingrained part of the sport.
That being the case, you can't have criminals or victims, you just have football, footballers, and fouls. There is no case to answer.

He's got a point to be fair. How do you know some of hackers in the Prem are going to pull out of the tackle when they come steaming in? The likes of Gary Lineker when he was playing used to jump over incoming tackles and stay on his feet. Compare with the modern day players who don't jump but try to tangle with the tackling player and throw themselves onto the ground to gain a free kick and the potential booking of an opponent. When they get it wrong it's obvious for all to see that it's a blatant dive. I'm not condoning bad challenges, but diving is cheating, nothing more, nothing less.
