Ireland goal should of stood, especially when you look back at previous examples like the 3 goals united scored against Fulham which were clearly offside.
Why does everyone Hype about Fuller? few good performances, he wasn't prolific.
Arnie is young, & will become really good, id rather question how did Assaidi not stay onside & why was no one following in when Arnie put a killer ball across the face of the goal?

Tactically, Crouch playing and 'coming deep' is part of the overall problem, even allowing for his good performances.
A forward that will go in behind and stretch the defence will give the space for the 3 lads, Arnautovic - Ireland and Assaidi, to work in and thrive. At the moment, there is no space and they are all being choked to death.
This is typified by how deep Arnautovic is having to come to find the ball and space.

Pieters must start at left back against Villa because Muniesa just isn't up to it at the minute imo. Also Arnie was a passenger yesterday and has been in a few games of late and for me needs a good kick up the backside from Hughes.

What about the McGregor save from Crouch where he tipped it around the post?

Do we think Huth will walk straight back into this team? Wilson has been superb in his 3 games, very solid and 2 clean sheets.
Can I also wish Gods on the oatcake, a happy 68th birthday.

Do you think we will sell out for Wednesday?
Do you know how many tickets are left?

Why does everyone Hype about Fuller? few good performances, he wasn't prolific, his attitude was also awful at times.
The build up play is too slow for Arnie, time he gets the service all the opposition are behind the ball or he is getting doubled upon. His attitude is clearly frustration at his own performance.
Arnie is young, new country, more physical league, more expectation but he will become really good, id rather question how did Assaidi not stay onside (which would of been the pass of the game from arnie) & why was no one following in when Arnie put a killer ball across the face of the goal?

I agree we did miss JW yesterday.
Re Arnie, he was very keen to get the crowd involved v Chelsea. I think he thrives on this type of atmosphere, but soon gets disheartened when things aren't going well. I think he will respond better if we really encourage him and he gets the chance to chase after forward passes
Ireland can't play on Saturday v Villa so although he has different skills to offer, it is even more important to have JW on the pitch imo

If Ferdinand does start with Vidic, id play Crouch & Jones together they would cause them all sorts of problems,
Good news for us regarding Villa, Gabby Agbonlahor Suspended, Benteke Awful this season, there defence looks terrible without Vlaar.
Mourinho has a higher win percentage?

If Begovic is fit, I would play him on Wednesday.
Forget David Moyes and Man Utd, the Capita Cup may be our best chance of silverware!!!!

A few good performances? They should have a 'disgust' button.

True but I think you neuter Ireland if you don't give him a centre forward who can do the link play as well. Whoever comes in will ideally be able to do both.

Correct, and like the mobile destructor who can play, how much money have you got? We need to unearth another Benteke and another Claudio Jacob or Mulumbu.

A "swipe card" system should obviously be easier to operate for the club, and be equally useable for the fans. After all, buying online, or by telephone surely beats a journey to the ground.
It is clear that things are not working correctly. We have seen on here fans stating that they have simply "given up" trying to get a ticket(s).
If the system is in fact working correctly, but fans are not using the system correctly - then either the system needs changing, or more clear information from the club as to exactly how the system works.
Personally when it comes to obtaining tickets - I would prefer to phone. It seems that it is the ordering procedure, and checkout that is causing confusion.

Better second half performances are down to Mark Hughes' half time talks. He's astute. He sees what's obviously wrong on the pitch and corrects it. He seems to encourage the players and give them confidence to improve and go for the 3 points.
That said, I'm not sure what he told them at Swansea !!

Not enough doors to say how often Gareth mentions Pulis. Is he his dad?
2-0 against Man Utd and 3 - 1 against Villa.

Sadly I missed listening live to last weeks show, as I never got chance to put forward my entry for the 'Stoke players with names that sound like parts of the body' I don't believe anyone suggested Peter Hampton
