If we get the targets we want £20m net. Don't think money is a problem as long as it isn't wasted.

£15m out £6m in £9m total outlay Wheres the 6mill coming from? Crouch or Jones £2-3m'ish Shotton £2m'ish Kightly £1-2m'ish I'm convinced if we are to sign a big money striker, then either Crouch or Jones will have to sold. There is no way we will sanction another signing on approx £40k a week whilst having Jones & Crouch both sitting on the bench picking up similar.

£15m out £6m in £9m total outlay Wheres the 6mill coming from? Shawcross? if we got a very good deal. Begovic if we got a very bad one. other than that I guess we will have a total spend of less than £5 million which doesn't get you much

We need at least three new first teamers, need more competition for squad places. £10 million for me at least.

I seriously doubt we'll get anything for Jones he's out of contract in the summer so unless somebody like west ham are desperate enough to part with a few quid then he won't be sold.
Aren't kightly and shotton on season long loans?
Again unless Wigan and Burnley are desperate to sign them permanently then we won't get any cash for those two until summer.
Edu, Ness and maybe ether etherington are surplus to requirements. We definitely need to shift a couple of midfielders considering most of us think we are still missing a defensively minded one.

I reckon Denise told Coates she didn't care if he liked that Neanderthal Pulis or not but he was to get rid of him since that long ball shit he was serving up was besmirching the good name of Bet365 and for her next trick she hid the purse

The Coates family are no fools, they will back their decision to fire Pulis with plenty of money for Hughes, they won't risk relegation for a few million that's for sure.

Does it matter on how much he gets! It's quality that counts and he got Cartwright to find um - so all looks great. Done it?

Nowhere near enough cobham, check out the other teams around us and their outlays at the start of this season just to compete, never mind survive. Everyone still talks about the huge sums of cash available this year and next from just being in the PL, haven't seen much evidence of it at Stoke. £5m so far this season, I think we need another £20m net spend in January or we will be up against it big time.

I'll wait and see. If they're being coy to make sure we dont get shafted with inflated transfer fees again, all power to em

I would have thought that this is a good punt. We do have more income as a result of retaining our Premiership status (so do the other 19 clubs of course) but the huge bonus of staying in the Prem is worth a £15m + outlay imo

not sure whatever is offered will be enough, transfer fees always inflated in January, should have made the needed transfers in the summer.

not sure whatever is offered will be enough, transfer fees always inflated in January, should have made the needed transfers in the summer. Yes,its not going to be so easy is it? We couldn't get anyone in during the summer, apparently, because none were available at the "right price" and I really can't see prices dropping too much when any potential seller can see we are desperate. Will the "family" be prepared to pay over the odds to keep us up?
