One thing that's certainly changed since Hughes came in and that is we are now scoring some well crafted goals instead of picking up the pieces as was the usual tactic before

Three points, two goals, clean sheet, good performance all round. Kept the ball well, patient play when they went down to ten men with some great football on the break. Adam was excellent as we're Crouch and Whelan, but Cameron man of the match for me.

Phew, and relax.
Thought we made that 2nd half harder for ourselves than it perhaps should have been but I guess that comes with the nerves and the fact that we were holding on for our first win in the last 9 games. An early goal in that 2nd half would have been game set and match and I think we need someone who can put it away 9 times out of 10. Anyway, onwards and upwards! Goarrn Stoke!

A win, at last! We're only two points from 10th, and we score goals. So happy!

We needed that...well done to the players. Had we have messed that up in the position we were I would have been truly worried but...happy days.

Nowt to go mental over I guess, since we managed to barely-comfortably beat a 10-man relegation zone team.
But I feel good! Nzonzi was a beast today as well, finally getting in the box and looking more aggressive.

PHEW!!!!!!!!!!! Thats been a long time coming. Ok, the performance overall wasn't world beating, but we got the win and the clean sheet. Adam and N'Zonzi were class and i thought that after some of our recent defensive problems, we looked a LOT better at the back. Onwards and Upwards. GOARNNNNNNNNN THE POTTERS!!!

Comfortable in the end and would have been even more so if Crouch and Walters could have got their boot on a few dangerous crosses from Adam and Cameron.
2 fantastically worked goals, solid at the back (ish) and 3 points. Onwards and upwards.
I'd be worried if I was a Sunderland though. They look to be in trouble this season.

Phew ! Didn't make it easy for ourselves....as is the norm for Stoke...but got there in the end. Played some decent stuff too, good games from Cameron,Crouch and Adam to name but 3. Arnie a huge disappointment again, pull ya finger out man ! Really?....i think, he plays quiet well today...made only few mistakes today, very robust in duels....the biggest lack i currently see at Marko´s game is, that he could be more dangerous for the opposing goal...but he makes an effort, when he is on the field....stupid yellow card today

Gutted I could barely watch the stream I was so busy at work. Sounds like a belter. Just what we needed. And Nzonzi doing well - aces.

In addition to some very astute observations I'll add that the service into the box was outstanding. To his credit Couch played very well second half and laid on some nice passes in the second half. I actually think the deeper he played the more effective he was. I almost "spit me dummy out" when he was running at defenders to set up N'Zonzi's goal.
Adam was the player that I knew he could be for us, superb delivery and well timed late runs into the box. Sprayed balls all over the pitch like a midfield maestro.
Cameron .... I thought he was playing right wing or up top in a 4-3-3 the way he was getting forward. Sunderland had no answer for him and he kept them pegged back almost single handedly. Les has to have a word with himself now, Cameron should be on the right wing instead of Jon Walters, couldn't be clearer now.
Great match to cheer up the masses, gonna be an enjoyable week!

I think the plan is to have Cameron be attacking winger with whelan covering huth and shawcross great tactics. We have a diamond shaped back four when on the counter:
Ryan Huth pieters Whelan
With geoff advancing and walters running inside to cf. Looking good. Its getting us goals.

Crouch seems to be playing better, do you think we can expect a goal or three from him any time soon?

Overall a decent performance, and hats off to Whelan,he looked very comfortable today. If we had a red card for a tackle like that,i think i would give up watching football, incredibly bad decision,he didnt dive qwith feet up,never showed his studs, how the fuck can that be a straight red
Well done Stoke same points as last season, same 12th spot, but much better to watch

oh,oh..Begovic...this could be red card and penalty. So it *was* a foul? Oh give over you sad fucker. Look at the stats. They quite clearly show that it wasn't a foul. Let it go and move on. We'd have tonked you anyway with 8 men and me in goal you were that shit.
