Out of the current squad who falls into the above categories?
It seems to me that Matty is definitely a spent force, not being sentimental as he was a great player but two seasons ago!
Whelan the same, they have both been good servants but need to be moved on.
In my mind Kenwyne definitely did not fulfil the promise after the performances he started with!
Palacios is either not good enough or unfulfilled promise too!
Those are just a few I can think of, what are your thoughts?

Palacios was the best midfielder today. He is not 100% fit clearly.

dieguito88 does that come under unfulfilled promise then?
I agree he played better today but not the player I expected when he first signed.
I thought he would have been a solid midfielder but it's never happened!

Palacios was the best midfielder today. He is not 100% fit clearly. We have had him 2 years and hes still not fit!!! Wahts he playing at? I thought he was a professional sportsman. Sunday league players look after themselves better. |

Crouch Jones Whelan Walters Palacios Etherington Shea Edu Ness Anyone see N'Zonzi laughing as the final corner went in before the penalty.....didn't seem to be unduly concerned that we had thrown away all three points (at that particular moment ) N'zonzi could be the 'problem' in our team.....Not prepared to put in a proper shift I'm afraid. Adam needs to sort his head out and show how good he his. Ireland is improving slowly. Seems to be getting fitter and gaining more confidence. A class player if he can re-discover his old form. Etherington needs to be shipped out to the Championship.... Can't afford to sell Begovic ....we'd be relegated. We need two more strikers and very quickly. The midfield is good enough , just a bit lazy at times. We will stay up ....but by the skin of our teeth. The end. |

Agree with all those sales, but Nzonzi could be both the problem and solution. He needs better players around him and players who know how to play to his best skills and that of the tactics. At the moment we still arent used to the formation and Nzonzi seems insistent on having a go at the defence at every opportunity. He needs some direction to aim his gallons mardyness and odd determination. But the other 4 players infront, bar arnie who seems sick of the team already, are useless

I believe we are not good enough,more for pace than anything else.Even Huth keeps grabbing/body checking players due to his lack of pace,and will be getting a 1 match ban with all his yellows.We cant keep getting him booked first half then he darent tackle.
Clearly we have had the rug pulled for big signings,due to money spunked away,and the problems have been there since janary 2013,so i arent surprised we have a problem,with or without Pullis.The match today looked like pullis ball not more passing,but defending like mad and hoping to keep them at bay.Blame Hughes or not,the truth is our players arent good enough,sheer grit and determination will keep us up,not the booing supporters,

If we get better players around him this would cut down his options for projection and externalising his anger, leaving his ego extremely exposed. I can't see him reacting well to that. |

Guys, he needs game Time to be 90 minutes fit. The thing that is schoking is that a clearly unfit fatty midfielder is the best choice we have now in midfield.

And playing with a uninterested player without balls like N'Zonzi is a big problem. I say sell him and take 2 in.

What a dreary and depressing OP and thread this is. However, I admire the genius way in which you've set out the parameters that will facilitate the deep and unbiased debate that i'm anticipating with some excitement.
Our players can be either:
a) toss
b) wank
c) shit
I suspect it will be far too irresistible for the usual suspects not to shower us all with their wisdom. What seriously short and unreliable memories some people have.
We lost at the Liberty 3-1 last season. Just stop and think about that for a moment. Just think it through............keep thinking.....3-1.........3-3.........3-1..........

It is not to categorise the whole team, but a question on who has been a good player but is now a passenger and is not adding to the team.
Who is a player who has not fulfilled expectation.
And who is simply not good enough!
I am after opinions on those three things, no hidden agenda, if anything just to see if supporters are seeing the same weakness in the squad that might need addressing.
