I hope we get players in early in the January window. A bit of steel is needed through the spine of the team.

So where do you think it went wrong in letting in 3 goals.... Defence? midfield? Something else?
How can we ensure we are not in the bottom 3 come jan 1st?

Pulis has gone shut up about him he signed these players Nzonzi and Cameron especially.
If If If If my aunty had balls she would be my uncle.
If Cameron had stopped the left winger crossing Bony wouldn't have scored.
If Dyer hadn't have played then we would have won.

Would a dour 0-0 result have been better? It would have been a clean sheet
If we have to choose between a weakened defence or a more attacking forward line which is preferable
Both would be great but at the moment it's not happening
We were robbed of 3 points at Fulham, and arguably Swansea were robbed of 3 today
We lost all 3 at Fulham at least we got a point today
Very disappointing but I would have taken a point at 3pm

It's all about money in truth
Coates didnt want TP to spend more money The reason being was that money was going out but not coming in Hughes was clearly prepared to give the existing squad a chance as he knew it was his last chance Thus he was prepared to work without a great deal of money
£30 million debt clearly focused 'The Family's' mind

A get out of jail free card today, that second half collapse was alarming. You can't be throwing way 2 goal leads in this league, especially us. Where was the fight? We are throwing points away. A gutless 2nd half display. The defending has gone out of the window, the basics are gone. N'Zonzi goes into hiding when the battle is on, no passion, no fight....I'm getting more of the opinion that there is no room for him at this football club.
May I also add, after slagging Walters off last week and in the past, I must also praise him where due... he was fantastic today. A lovely goal and played a key role in the second

I think that the club were expecting Begovic to depart (so glad he is still here and hopefully will be until at least the end of the season) thus making more funds available to spend.
I would think that Coates priority would be to retain Premiership status - makes financial sense for him and the club.
It is going to mean releasing more funds than anticipated, it needs to be done imo.
As well as being a shrewd businessman. PC is a Stoke fan and I am confident that he will support Hughes come January.
We all need to support the club right now

Do you think our position at the end of this season depends entirely on our January signings?

It is more the point of them all having to consult each other on funds now before releasing ££. Trust me Denise has no interest in the club side. She is far too involved in running B365 to care about that side.

You cant bring Assaidi on when we are getting attacked down the wings, he cant provide sufficient cover for the fullbacks. Ethers and Walters have to do this.

Laudrup interview just on Sky - suggesting that the referee should come and explain and say that he has made a mistake. He also says that no Stoke player appealed for the penalty.
Hughes comments that we did ' get out of jail" today, but we have been on the end of some unlucky outcomes

Angela has often said 'the family' will spend in January because the financial cost of relegation would be massive! I couldn't agree with her more but are there any signs the owners will follow her advice? I certainly hope they do because this relegation fight will go right down to the wire!

total collapse in the 2nd half. something very wrong with us as this keeps happening and we can no longer hang on to any sort of lead ... man u, birmingham, southampton and now today. we defended too deep and lost the midfield after the interval ... do you think it's lack of fitness?.. but we are looking knackered in the last 15 mins ... for their 3rd goal they just went past our players who had no fight left in them and it was a very simple tap-in for what we all thought would be their winner. surely the management should be addressing and solving the issue of not being able to hang on to hard-earned leads.

Ethers Walters and Ireland as the most forward of the central midfielders should be the outlet.
Doesn't mean that they still cant push forward.

I happen to agree that it seems like there are 11 individuals on the pitch, not a team. Could it also be because Hughes hasn't got the same emotional commitment to Stoke like I felt Tony had? I feel like it seems like just another job to him!

Huth at fault for one of their goals today?
Listening via Radio Stoke he also put in quite a few interceptions / tackles.
I agree the defence have looked very stretched this season - they seem to have lost the ability to work as a unit.
The different formations in front of them maybe leading to more hesitant play.
Room for improvement urgently needed
