As much as the substitutions that Hughes makes are mind boggling there are so many things going on, on the pitch that he can't be blamed for everything. Every game we have fucking ridiculous mistakes by players you can't tactically predict that but he's also in a shitty situation that either a lot went wrong in the transfer window regarding deals or he just didn't have the money given to him. He's stuck between dickheads with ability but only play when they want (N'Zonzi) or players who are walking red cards (Adam) I just don't see how any other manager would change the way things are going.
It's also becoming clear that unlike every other team in the premier league our players haven't got the fitness to play a high tempo game for a full 90 min. I don't know whether that's down to coaching or they're all just fucked naturally.

Well the fitness thing is totally down to Hughes. One thing that Pulis always guaranteed was 11 fit players after their runs up and down mountains in Austria pre season.
Maybe theres more to running up and down a mountain than meets the eye when it comes to Premiership football teams.

We tailed off late on under TP too and he signed and never got them fit, two of the most unfit players we have (Adam and Palacios). That said, it is an issue and does need addressing.

Blown leads aren't exactly a foreign concept to the club, are they?
How many points did we throw into the waste bin last year?
For me, the second half collapse today had a feeling of inevitability to it. With so little possession at half-time it just seemed obvious how the second half would unfold.
The subs were confusing but I'm not sure what else could have been done. Arnautovich wasn't really imposing himself of the game which was crucial, IMO, since he is the one guy on our team who seems to have the natural ability to possess the ball and give the backline a few moments to catch their breath and regain their shape. Walters, for as much as his defensive abilities are touted on here, seems to sit way too deep when we have a lead and gives the ball away cheaply. We need Arnie to be a release valve on the wing and he just wasn't today.

If you decide to pick a team containing , Ireland , arnie , Walters, and palacios there will inevitably be problems stopping the opposition getting at our back 4
