As Burnley are doing quite well with Kights in the team, will they buy him? Hopefully they will make him a permanent signing in Januaty?

Hopefully; he didn't impress the new management and the fans last year, so is it possible for him to be sold in January? What price would you think they'd pay, £1m - £1.5m?

Dont think Burnley have that sort of money 500k with an extra 500k/1m if they go up. Yes, that sort of plan would appeal to Burnley. The problem is his wages though. No way can a smallish Championship club afford Kightly's current wage. He won't be one of our highest earners but he'll be on two, three or even four times what Burnley can afford. If we are to offload him we might end up subsidising his wages until the point when his contract with us is due to expire.

I really really cant see him being on too much Played lower league until a move for Wolves, and he was pretty young there so wouldnt have been on much Then he came to us when they went down, but there wasnt much attention on him, more on Jarvis so again he probably isnt on anything more than 20k here. And presumably he wants to play rather than sit in our reserves so he'd drop down a bit to play for a team top 3 of the Championship

Look at their revenue - I haven't checked their figures but I'd be surprised if their income is much above £15 million per year - you can't afford to pay many players even £10k per week on that sort of income. Our income will be closer to £90 million than £80 million this year - and that will be in the bottom half of the Prem wage table.

Does anyone know how or why Burnley have suddenly become good? Good young manager and a few players like Ings who are playing out of their skin?

I thought they must have come in to some money. I don't think what you describe above will sustain them over the course of the season so I am sticking with QPR and Leicester as my tips for automatic promotion.

re: Michael Kightly..? I haven't read anyone saying it isn't the wingers job to get back and do the defensive work. What I'm saying (and others as well) is that when we do have the ball in the final third Kightly isn't producing the kind of delivery that you'd expect. If that part of the way we play isn't necessary we might as well as play Lafferty ahead of Mee. Defensively and workrate superb from Kightly but I hope he improves going forward. re: Michael Kightly..? To be "amazed" by my opinion is a little weird but OK. I thought he was OK, just that. Treacy did more for me and I don't see the difference between Kightly & Junior. His final ball was poor but yes his workrate was very good. Ian Moore's workrate was very good but his goal scoring record was awful and that's what he was judged and is remembered for re: Michael Kightly..? kightly's crossing was very poor on saturday, but thats not to say the rest of his game wasn't very good. treacy might only have put in one decent ball but its one more than kightly, who took all the corners and wide free kicks, managed. i don't really get why he's on all the set pieces when we've got the likes of jones, treacy etc out there as well. HAHAHAHA Sounds like he is doing a fine job...right? He sounds just like that man...... Walters?!

I work with Wolves supporters who to a man all insist he was a better player than Jarvis & would do well for Stoke.
The moral of this story is never never ever listen to Wolves fans.
Kits can beat a man which is good but last season he was appalling.
