The lads did us proud yesterday. Our fans were magnificent too (unlike the shit fans who only found their voices when they scored.)
Great effort, brilliant performance.
We'll be fine this season.
Amazing away day.

I saw something on a website by a Man Utd fan who said that the atmosphere at Old Trafford was fantastic yesterday. I can only assume he was in with the Stokies at the atmosphere in the home areas was non-existant for all but about 15 minutes of the game.

I went in the utd end yesterday courtesy of freebie corporates and 2 things stood out. 1- the support from us in the corner was great and the Robert Huth song sounded and looked mint, it just looked like we were having a party, one of the guys I went with ( a typical London based shit fan) asked "Why the fack were u singing aga facking doo?" 2) the utd support is piss poor, a lot of the "Fans" didn't even stand up when they scored Just my luck when I go in the away end and when I'm sat amongst the shit we score within 4 minutes!!

It was noisy for about 3 minutes - i.e. a minute after each goal - as it is at all grounds when the home team scores. I was taking the Man Utd fan to task for claiming that it was a fantastic atmosphere in the home areas during the game - quite simply it wasn't. And I haven't seen any Stokies claiming that the atmosphere at the Brit is superb at the moment - have you?

The atmosphere amongst our support yesterday was absolutely top! It was one of my best away days for years, was anyone else in the "beer fountain" on the upper level E232ish? Doing the German bombers -v- Stafford RAF song amongst many others? The Manc bar staff reckoned they'd not seen owt like it and let's face it they must've seen a few other supporters in thier time but best of all was the absolute feckin " mental" that went on after armies goal best for ages! We might not have won the game but we defo won the battle of the supporters I was proud of us yesterday and to come away from old trafford feeling truthfully that we wuz robbed is a small win in itself! Conner wait have the red Manc shite at the Brit if we generate the same atmosphere c'mon stoke!

I was on a corporate jolly yesterday in the Europa Suite (which was excellent by the way - free booze from our hosts and top nosh!) - think there were around 100 Stokies in there too!
Noise from Stoke corner was great, and when we scored I couldn't help myself and jumped for joy with a little mental twice!
Owd bugger behind told me to sit down but all around said we deserves at least a point
Set off yesterday morning at 10am, day of beers, good company, an excellent Stoke performance (first half was brilliant, should have been 3 up (John Fecking Walters grrr), more beers, got home quite drunk at 10pm disappointed not to have come away with something!

Comments on this thread suggest the United fans are bad because they don't make any noise unless they score. We are no different in our own home games. Apart from we don't score at home. This thread seems to suggest our fans were superior to the home crowd, i imagine every team apart from Man City left our ground feeling superior to us. People in glass houses should not throw stones. When we're the quietest fans in the league we shouldn't pass judgement on anybody's support.

I've been going to home and away games for 14 years now.
Our home games are silent. Other grounds can not be quieter than ours they can only be equally as silent.
Our home support is embarrassingly shit. So far this season we've had the following sung at us:
"This is a library" "Where's your famous atmosphere" "Your support is fucking shit"
We have been a bunch of corpses for 18 months.

Stokies came across very loud and clear on my stream - great effort, lads...
Let's be honest away supporters always make the most noise because they're the most committed.
The Shit's away fans are good and loud (I hate them but respect their varied repertoire).
I doubt we'll get The Brit rocking again the way it was first/second seasons but if we play against Saints in the same manner as yesterday's first half the noise will return...

Good performances and goals particularly bring the atmosphere. Weve had neither for the best part of 2 years. Think a lot of people are in the same boat of Disinterest at the moment. Minimal/no pay rises, cost of living rising, 20-30-40 quid to watch unrelatable millionaires that have no concept of real life kick a ball for a pay cheque.

I didn't go yesterday, but threads like this are uplifting in terms of Stoke fans who sat at home like me wondering 'what if's' because we didn't beat the shit. The fact that we got so close at the theatre of borefest makes me proud in itself and I'm so pleased that the away contingent have found the love again. We did good, didn't we?

Must add my comments for those who were unlucky enough to miss the OT match. It was indeed a great day, despite the result. The first half in particular, was absolutely magnificent, though no surprise, now that we hve become accustomed to attacking, away from home. So disappointed that Arnie - a real hero, after that goal - had to go off, early in the second half but hopefully will be back soon and lifting the supporters at the Brit, as well.
The atmosphere was helped by the fact that both goals were scored, at our end, and encouraged raucous celebrations, phenomenal noise and continued optimism. I loved the spontaneous chanting, especially after an hour, with a terrific rendition of "how d'you watch this every week?" And the best part was that it was thoroughly justified!! We cheered them off at the end, a token of our apprecation for their immense efforts.
Also enjoyed coming up to the Brit and travelling with fellow Stokies, for the first time, on the coaches. Just sad that we only accepted 1,900 tickets, when we could have acquired the other 1,100 of our designated allocation and allowed more of our fans to enjoy what was a wonderful experience, despite the loss of points.

I will remember the first half performance for many a year - take a lot to surpass it. Turning point Arnie going off, migraine apparently.
Ade great to see you all at Albert's Shed. The Shelton 8 - loved the banter on the barge to & from the ground.
Yes, a brilliant away day in many ways - if only the final whistle blew at 71 minutes..........if it had, it would have been up there with one of the most memorable ever. For me anyway.

I've done my best to educate my Chilean girlfriend about Stoke and the fans, I can't tell you how proud (and grateful!) I feel when we watch on telly at places like Old Trafford and Anfield and consistently the only set of fans you can hear for the whole game is ours. She genuinely appreciates that Stoke fans are the best in the league. The Stokies were absolutely magnificent yesterday.
