They have a lot to answer for in terms of fashion, especially for selling those 3/4 length tracksuits for men, come on, you either wear tracksuit bottoms or shorts. As for this Lonsdale fascination, i just don't get it.
I go in the shop for decent golf attire, which they do now and again, but there seems to be more clothes on the floor than on the rails.

They do have a few decent bits sometimes, the walking shoes are usually quite cheap but it does seem to be the boutique of choice for the chav about town.

They're great if you need cheap training stuff. I often wait until I'm back in the UK to buy from there You really shouldn't be looking in 'sports' anything if you're after a fashion statement

SportsDirect are great for some things - sports stuff for school.
One of my sons got into cricket this summer and I got him a decent bat for £5, two sets of stumps for £5, and practice cricket balls for may £1.50. Absolute bargains!
We tend to order rather than visit their shops (which can be very depressing!).
Best I had was to order 4:30pm one Wednesday, and got delivery @ 8:30am the following morning (and that was paying for the economy delivery!).
Worse I had was paid extra for the Saturday delivery - as we needed some kit for a school trip on the Sunday. It turned 4 days later. When I complained they said that as I placed the order at 4pm it was too late and had missed the 2:30pm deadline. I then sent them to the link to their page that said the order had to be in by 7:30pm. I got the delivery costs refunded 30 mins later.

A good store, can purchase running shirts and shorts for very cheap prices compared to the overpriced shithouses......not arsed how they look or if they are professional. And then running trainers are available.
As the good sir says above.... it's not a fashion shop!

Sent from my ST25i using proboards

Come on Brits, I don't know what trainers you're wearing but these are pure fashion mate. Don't try and be getting a pair out of the Bourne Sports trainer guy neither. Too exclusive. Mermaid Sal will be on any minute now, asking me to marry her. Just watch.

You really shouldn't be looking in 'sports' anything if you're after a fashion statement What is a fashion statement then Brits? Seriously, i only really like trainers and Nike, Adidas old school stuff. You said it and now i'm asking. Give me some of that fashion input. I do look like a bit of a twat in all that gear too aged 48. I've got some nice dark jeans and a pair of Jeffrey West loafers. Beyond that i'm a bit lost. ideas?

They are what they are.
If you want to spend hundreds of £'s on a pair of trainers that you can say come from some posh store-then fine.
If you want something that does the job they were meant for then Sports Direct is the place to go.

If you want something that does the job they were meant for then Sports Direct is the place to go. Not really, i'm just into trainers because I like them - been into them since I was at middle school, it's been a lifelong obsession. The last pair of these AirMax95's I had was from a shop in Hong Kong, costing £50 - genuine Nike too. In the UK i've not seen them under £125 retail, and they tend to be only available in the more specialist shops in this colourway. Most people who really enjoy and collect trainers (i'm not a collector btw) will tell you the AirMax95 and the AirMax97 (silver bullets) are 90's design classics. The detailing on both shoes is simply superb and the upper construction is still totally unique, still nothing like them to this day. Nike were at their creative zenith and simply miles ahead of the game with these two products in the mid nineties, they really are worth having a closer look if you see a pair in a store, i'm not kidding! Also any Nike trainers with that type of sole are really super comfortable. Each to his own i'd say.

Sports Direct has been helping to quickly identify British tourists in Orlando for years, especially on International Drive, and in the major shopping malls.
Thank you Mike Ashley!
Also, the socks with sandals and the shockingly sunburned legs assisted also. :-)
