A glowing beacon in a shower of shite I thought. He's going to cut a frustrated figure though if we play like that every week, which is a shame because he looks really quite good. MOM by a mile imo. No one deserved it though really.

Agree, we had no one to pass him the ball though. Wilson, Adam and N'Zonzi were abject.

Really??? I thought he was as bad as everyone else to be honest, poor work rate and for too nonchalant on the ball at times

he does seem to blow hot and cold though bayern. I think its his style but some times he wants to track back and other times not and I think he could be difficult to rely on. I suppose I dont know what sort of orders he's been given in terms of where he plays but he floated a lot as well and late on came very deep to get the ball which then left us short of his quality upto

Didnt think he was great at all - mind you dont think it helps him being plonked out on the wing.

I wouldn't question his work rate quite yet. He defended well.
Had a bit of Ric about him though, sulking at the shower of shite unfolding around him.
Made intelligent runs (not that many players picked them up), and tried to drive forwards.

Didnt think he was great at all - mind you dont think it helps him being plonked out on the wing. No one has said he was great, he was the best of a bad bunch. Did look isolated out wide but maybe more to do with our inability to pass the ball quickly enough.

I'd like to see him through the middle, his movement looks good and he'd carry more of a threat than Crouch or Jones, Pennant and Assaidi either side maybe

I'm not really sure what to make of him or where he fits into our game plan.
The ability is there but any better than Assadi I doubt it.

I'd rather have him up front at the moment instead of the shower of shite we've currently got. He's quick, got a decent shot on him and he's got a bit of muscle. Not to mention tall!
A little too calm in our own box though! That moment in the first half when he was trying to skill his way out of our own box was terrifying

It's still early days of course but I really have reservations about him as much as I hate to say it. He's clearly got a bit of quality about him but the end product was poor. I can't help but feel we would have been much better off with a Redmond, Sinclair, Ince type who have pace and plenty of direct running. Though keen to shoot, he seems to be more about fancy flicks and tricks than direct penetration.
I really hope I'm proved wrong on this though and he does quite clearly have enough quality about him to do so.

Poor, hardly saw him, one good run to get back and prevent there lad crossing the ball in and he hit a shot quite well but went over the bar, maybe had another shot after, not convinced but needs time

I'm yet to see him deliver and thought he was lucky to start today after offering very little on Wednesday. He scares the living shit out of me when he's in our penalty area and doesn't track his man making it a difficult afternoon for Pieters. Not sure we can accommodate a player like him and a Charlie Adam especially when other midfielders are playing as poorly as Wilson did today. I do think I must be wrong because so many other Stokies love him but I can't work out whether he's a beat-the-man-style player, a good crosser of the ball cause I've not seen him really do either.

I'm so not sure about this guy.
I'm unsure if he is just someone pretending to be a poor mans ibrahimovoc or has some genuine hidden talent
He doesn't seem to possess great pace and has a liking for the odd flick here and there but it all seems a bit overhyped.
I know it's early doors and I may end up being wrong but I ain't convinced.
Thoughts?

Good player possibly at the wrong time.
Ocean's between him and the rest in talent. Hes got the edge you need as well.
So desperately frustrated he hasn't got a Ric in his prime to play with.
Nobody across the front line in the starting line up us on his wavelength and it badly shows.

The window has come home today im afraid the commercial decisions made in the summer are going to be provide the manager somewhat unfairly with a very bumpy road to xmas he needs to get to 20 points by post the Eveton game and suddenly 13 more seems a fair stretch.

Looks a good player to me. I think he's a bit too clever at times for the likes of Walters and Wilson. Makes a 5 yard run for the defender then checks back only for Walters to not see his intention. Will be a good buy imo

Our Austrian friend on here who enlightened us on his career mentioned his fitness was key.. as for every footballer obviously, but I think he will score some goals for us. He seemed to be our only creative outlet, and was sought out often by NZonzi and Ireland

Some of the other players were not on the same wavelength as him when he tried to make a few runs in the second half. But it's something that will develop over time
