Does anyone else remember Rotherham away 92/93. Think it was 3v1 with Stein scoring two?
Anyway we got held in the stand for a while and when the gate finally opened a few went "looney" and attacked an old hotdog seller down the crappy little allyway which runs up the side. The poor old sod got his cart turned over and covered in sauce. I'll never forget the fellas face, thankfully lots of Stokies came to his aid.
Does anyone remember this?

I remember wasn't that the game that Dennis Priestley was parading his world darts trophy around at half time only to be greeted with a mass chorus of there's only one Eric bristow ;D
can't remember if it was 2-1 or 3-1 though

My (fading) memory tells me 2-0 with Steino scoring a cracker and we played in a purple kit. Was it also a Monday? A truely massive following too. Packed in like sardines.

I remember that. Even the coppers were laughing as the old boy walked past them covered in tomato and brown sauce.
It was 2-0 and Steino scored a screamer!!

Can remember a couple of games after, we played at home and there i was centre pages of the programme in the background on top of the fence just as steino took his shot!!!!!
Cherished memories of that day, as we spent it on the ale beforehand at Bakewell and after in Leek!
Good days

That Purple kit was legendary! The worst away kit we've had?

Both goals were Steino specials, weren't they? For his first, didn't he turn the defender inside out and calmly slot it inside the far post?

I remember it. I think a Stokie took a hotdog without paying for it, the seller told him to come back and pay up. Cue a bunch of Stokies tipped his stand over and squirted bottles of sauce all over him.

I remember it. A stokie who shall remain nameless tried to nick a burger but with it being a cheap scabby burger stall the burgers where in boiling water. Not a bright idea to put your hand in boiling water to get a burger out, mind you I don't know what would fair worse your hand from the boiling water or your guts from the scabby burgers???

I remember not arriving at Millmoor until half-time because my grandfather decided to drive through Bakewell on a bank holiday (not the brightest idea).
I was around 12 years old and I can remember Steino's goal and a load of Stokies jumping onto and rattling the big fences that were in between the fans and the pitch.

I remember it was so packed in that standing end I had to stand on my tip toes on half a step for the entire game resting on my mate in front. When steino banged his first in it was that full you couldn't even jump up and down and just surged backwards and sidewards. Cracking away day listening to stoke getting a mention on sports report on the coach on the way back.

Fucking Hell I remember it like yesterday. The fucking bloke was standing in that cobbled alley as we all pored out. I remember the sauce going all over him. Didnt someone chuck the water at him too and turn his cart over?
On the same subject do you remember Blackpool away in the late 70s or early 80s. There was a wooden tea hut in the Stoke end that got demolished and the wood used to beat shit out of the coppers who were trapped at the bottom by the fencing. I distinctly remember a coppers helmet being thrown around beach ball style too before it got wripped up and thrown on the pitch

standbutler, Rooster scored two goals away at Blackpool in that same season, if anyone remembers his second then they will tell you that it was one of the finest solo Stoke goals you'll ever see, he ran from the half way line, took on half their side and slotted it in before running to the celebrating Stokies in the corner and sliding on his knees on one of the muddiest pitches you could imagine, Classic!
