Don't agree with him about Arnie. It was a bold move by Hughesy to put him in, he had a decent game and it gave him invaluable experience of the pace and intensity of the Premier League.
Agree on the other two points though.

Yes, and he should be given a run in the team to find his feet. I saw enough glimpses to know he will be an improvement on what we've got. Now we just need someone else to be given a run in the team in place of Walters also......

Yes ,that shot that hit the post came over his shoulder and he hit it first time, (Van Persie type of shot),non of the other forwards are doing anything like that at the moment, hes strong on the ball and you can see he really wants to play , looks good

I personally think it's beneficial to debut in front of a hostile crowd rather than a comfy home crowd, no real thought behind it just what I believe, might harden a player up a bit.

Adam needs a referral to Palacios' personal trainer.
The more games he plays, the quicker Arnie will get up to speed and start scoring. Look at his face after Cameron scored - he was gutted. Read his mind, "It should have been mine".

Yes, John Motson said he saw something in him too. Maybe he has to get used to the speed of premiership football but that will only come about by playing.

My thoughts exactly to all of the above. Don't see the sense of why you'd leave someone of his nature out just because it was a tough game. And I didn't think he did too badly either...

Nah, we should hold him back for West Brom away.

How is any player going to adapt and get used to new surroundings without playing?
Spinks really does spout some shite at times.

Arnie is a kid who will be champing at the bit. I've no problem with him starting yesterday - better that than the Tuncay farce where we were all left wondering why he didn't get a start for months? Sparky is doing things the right way - the defence let him down yesterday.

Agree entirely, Dave. VERY impressed with Arnie so far - he looks very, VERY hungry for a goal, and I'm certain it will happen SOON. Good man, great signing!

It's a ridiculous notion.
Arnie got game time, experience and familiarisation with his teammates.
Why the hell wouldn't we start him?
I'd say yesterday was perfect preparation for Norwich as he already knows he can play and do well against top players in this league.

From the very first moment he set foot on a pitch in our colours he's seemed hell-bent on scoring. That'll do for me. And hopefully we'll see it happen v Norwich.

Totally agree, once he has a bit more time settling in alongside team mates, he will prove to be a great signing imo. Wants to get on the scoresheet, tracked back to help out in defence, looks like he will always give 100% Can't wait to see him start on Sunday!!

Arnie was good and thankfully Mark has realised Ethers is finished. Arnie is actually a genuine, unpredictable threat. Game time at 'The Library' was a good idea and will prime him for Norwich and Fulham!

Arnie is going to be great for us.
Surely with a game under his belt he'll be more likely to play well against Norwich?

If arnie didn't start we wouldn't have scored the goal. It was great work by Cameron, but the shot coming off the post doesn't happen if ethers is in there.

I was impressed by the amount of tracking back Arnie did, really bust a gut to defend his flank a few times - hopefully this wasn't just débutante, eagerness but he seemed nothing like the luxury player some of the press articles implied he might be.

Sad to say but I can't tell if Adam is fit or carrying an injury these days - it all looks such a struggle for him.
Problem is, drop him and he'll never get up to pace.
