1. Great ball from N'Zonzi - the bloke is starting to flourish under Sparky - shackles are off!! 2. Brilliant technique from Marko - didn't lash at it, tried to guide it in - very unlucky 3. Fine composed finish from Cameron - didn't panic. Cameron is coming on under Sparky - perhaps we DO have a player after all. Looking like I was too harsh in judging him after one season.
I can't help feeling though the new Manager has been let down by the powers that be in the window.

Fantastic finish from Cameron, just hit it first time, gave the keeper no time to reset himself after ths first shot hit the post, that is what Rooney does, strikes it first time when a chance presents itself and very often its in the back of the net before the defence know what is going on

I struggle to see how how Hughes has been let down by the powers that be?
He was left with a good core if players that he's added his own players to, were trundelling long quite nicely.

Of course you don't because you never can hear a bad word about the people running the club. We need a goal scoring forward now. Not January (a bloke no one knows). NOW.

Goalie was unsighted, this is what often happens on a rebound, however, we got a rebound and Cameroon struck! Annie did the damage.

I'm taking the optimistic view that the funds were available, but Hughes wouldn't be rushed into spending it on anything other than the right player. We've bought players for the sake of it in the past then regretted it, so Maybe Hughes figured we'd got enough to keep us ticking over until January. If we're in the same position in February then I'll believe there's something not right.

Anybody would have thought that we're bottom of the table without a goal in 10. We've played 5 games so far 3 of which were against a top 7 teams. The real test will come over the next 5 league games (Norwich, Fulham, West Brom, Manchester United, Southampton) we picked up 5 points from those games last season. If we've picked up less than 5 points and none of the front 3 have scored then I'll be concerned. Forgive me for not getting my knickers in a twist 5 games into the season.

Our intended formation really needs a forward capable of creating stuff for himself. Crouch and Jones certainly cannot do that and rely on service. He won't get that from Walters and I don't think Arnautovic is renowned for winger type service either, but does look very accomplished on the ball.
I wouldn't mind a front 3 of:
Assaidi - Arnautovic - Pennant
However if we are intent on using Jones or Crouch, we must use service wingers, Ethers and Pennant must start, shame because I want Arnautovic to start.

I think most people can see we've needed a decent striker way before the last five games bud....seems to me they want to save their money this season and gamble on free signing Agudelo doing the trick Maybe Peter and co are hoping for that American buyer to come sooner than later?
