I reckon a couple of trialists- Parsons upfront and Ryan upfront? Something seems fishy

I know it's Steve Ryan but when was the last time he played for the reserves? Last time he was named, Robert Almer was in goal (a trialist from Austria) Sorry KE, didn't mean to put he was upfront

Yeah but what knowles is saying is that he doesn't play for the reserves and it is questionable whether he's even with Stoke anymore.
St.Louis-Hamilton did his groin after about an hour on Monday and Diao was takign all his goal kicks and he was throwing the ball when he had it in his hands so that could be why he isn't playing. It might bwe Tom Harrisson and they might not put his name up as hes young enough to go wherever he wants without Stoke being able to put up much of a struggle so they don't want to draw attention to him

For the record, it was indeed Ryan in goal but not Parsons upfront. He was a French/African trialist who didn't speak any English so I didn't get his name!

He looked ok he did Knowles-had a few good touches and put himself about.
MOM-Knowingeyes lad a stormer in goal! Kept Vale in it! Looks a bit of a flapper though.
I hope Elwell is ok it looked an inocuous clash of heads but he must be hurt for the game to be called off!

Agreed Bayern. He played away at Wolves earlier in the season but got an injury. He did well that night too
Thye must like the look of him to get him back about 6 weeks after!

They must do. He reminded a bit of Mama but with a neater style of play. It's a shame all the chances fell to Parkin then we could have seen if his shooting boots are any good.

I've kept my comments about the injury on the "Abandoned" thread.
De Laet had a good game. He seemed to win every header and that run right through the midfield was excellent. Jimmy Phillips had a good game too.

Tom is just completing his first year of his scholarship. Next year is the big one for him to try and secure a pro contract. As you say, a promising lad who has been at the club for many years.
Nice to hear KE's lad played well today.
The 18's have a game at the Mich ko 11am on Saturday BTW for those not going to Colchester against the RAF side.
I suppose it will be an aerial bombardment from them!
