Its not going to happen. Although I agree those who have been involved in accepting bribes and those who have been involved will eventually be found out. Blatter and bernie ecclestone are from the same mould Just shows if you have enough money you can dictate the rules

We should boycott FIFA, what's to lose? an early exit from the World Cup? . If one country would stand up to them you'd see a domino effect across the world, the Dutch haven't held back in their criticism of them recently either. We should grow a pair and stand up to the corrupt muppets. No insurance for matches, sponsorships ending so all the players would leave as no wages, no match officials etc etc Its not just international matches so It's not as black and white as you think mate Also it's only England who have a major gripe as all the other major nations have had major tournaments In recent memory so have no axe to grind Leaving FIFA would be madness

And the FA know this and have tried to expose and bring down the present corrupt incumbents at FIFA without success. The saga will continue no doubt particularly as the finger of corruption has now been pointed at the FA. This has probably damaged our chances of staging a major tournament for decades now.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha best laugh I have had in weeks oh oh oh stop it my sides are hurting.
So Russia and Qatar, both centres of excellence for bribery and corruption (I have been to Qatar with business - I know first hand what they are like!) have been cleared but the FA have been implicated ha ha ha ha ha oh god I am going to fall off me chair.............what a bloody farce and total joke....that's FIFA and the FA for you.
Like the Russian tack though, that's a class way of getting away scot free, wonder other countries and enterprises don't do the same.
'Sorry Mr Auditor, we rented our pc's and apparently they have been destroyed....nothing to show you.....out of our control.......we are of course totally honest in all our dealings.'
You couldn't make it up, straight from the script of a Brian Rix farce, just need Uncle Seb to drop his trousers on camera, maybe not.

You have to admire them for the job they've done on the FA. Crooked organisation and now we can all look forward to two farcical and stage managed world cups in countries that really shouldn't have them for different reasons.

hahah this is the best "According to the report, the Russian team hired computers that were subsequently destroyed, denying the inquiry access to email accounts"And Qatar were subsequently accused of paying Fifa officials £3m to secure backing for its bid. However, they have now been cleared of wrongdoing, although the report said that there were "certain indications of potentially problematic conduct of specific individuals". Interpol should just ask GCHQ for copies of all mails that the Russians have sent. That would stump them. OS.

Amazing how they've been able to turn this around. Some brilliant spin doctoring.
Those Times e-mails which basically prove that corruption took place were rejected by the FIFA (un)ethic(al) committee and therefore weren't included in the report. Genius.

Was anybody actually expecting any other outcome?
FIFA investigate themselves and guess what, find out that the only people doing wrong were the ones that drove the need for an investigation whilst one of the main accused destroys all email evidence.
This now also clears the path for the Qatar World Cup to be moved away from summer.
I now predict (hope) a plethora of UK press go after the evidence and discredit it. Perhaps that will lead to another investigation resulting in canonization for Sepp Blatter.
It will eventually all come out but only when Herr Blatter leaves this mortal coil with his halo intact - why else would a 78 year multiple millionaire be clinging onto power at whatever cost?

Poor Sepp, he's completely lost whatever sanity he was clinging on to, poor bugger just needs an arm around him.
By arm I mean Shotgun.
And by around I mean in the face.
Twice.

I don't wish death on anyone, but sometimes I just wish Sepp would perhaps slip... you know, like slip in a serrated blade, which happens to be positioned just perfectly for Sepp's neck and cuts him fatally... and then perhaps the movement of his falling body causes him to drain out. Only hoping it comes from a slip though, I certainly wouldn't condone anyone doing it...

Of course, they have never been corrupt! If you believe that you will believe anything!
This notion that all foreign bodies are corrupt and we are the only ones flying the flag for integrity and truth is delusion and more than worrying.

What they've done here is what they thought they needed to do - buttering up a sleazy old crook like Jack Warner to win his vote. They were wrong to do it but who created that culture and which other associations were doing exactly the same? FIFA are singling out the FA for making a fuss.

The fact that FIFA are going ahead and allowing a Russia to host a World Cup speaks volumes. A country that has recently, and continues to, invade a neighbouring country's sovereignty. I wonder how many millions the Russian Oil tycoons have ploughed into FIFA's coffers to allow this tournament (puke)to happen?

I don't think anyone has suddenly begun to love the FA, Spit... I think they're giggling at how the FA have been so easily bamboozled by a bunch of crooks. Something like there is no honour between 'friends'? But this is what happens when you corner a bunch of corrupt rats. At least Bernie Ecclestone was clever enough not to try and hide his corruption. He bought his way out of it openly and then stuck two fingers up at everyone. The Russkies have pretty much done the same thing. OS.

An interesting little piece that appeared in last week's Private Eye that I don't think has been seen on here: Football Association boss Greg Dyke will experience his first FIFA congress in Sao Paulo on 10 June, choreographed by President Sepp Blatter in the Pyongyang style.
When not picking up their hefty per diems in cash, delegates from 209 national associations will be urged to rubber stamp Blatter's claim that his corruption-soaked organisation "is now setting the highest standards for governance in world sport". The corruption disclosures that wrecked FIFA's credibility exploded in 2010 when Sunday Times Insight and BBC Panorama revealed that the 23-man FIFA executive was home to a bunch of venal bribe-seekers, seemingly confirmed when they awarded the 2022 World Cup to Qatar.
Blatter hurriedly hired former New York US attorney Michael Garcia to investigate. Garcia will perhaps, some time, deliver a report into whether the crooks at FIFA trousered massive bribes to award the tournament to the Gulf billionaires. But why did Blatter choose Garcia as his well-rewarded "independent" investigator? Asked about Garcia's record as a Wall Street crime-buster and his closeness to the Bush White House, Columbia University law professor Scott Horton commented: "The one thing that could be predicted with utter confidence on the basis of Garcia's professional career is that he would zealously protect whoever appointed him and paid his bills. He might actually go after corrupt figures, but only to the extent it served the agenda of the person who appointed him."
And so it has turned out. One of Garcia's tasks has been to investigate allegations that Blatter handled a CHF1m bribe (£400,000 at the time) from a marketing company intended for the dodgy former FIFA president Joao Havelange. Blatter had to admit handling the money but said he had no idea it was a bribe. That's what we are told Blatter said, because neither transcript nor electronic recording of Garcia's no doubt rigorous interrogation of his paymaster will be made available.
Before hiring Garcia the serpentine Blatter rewrote FIFA's laughable "ethics code" to ensure that evidence collected in FIFA investigations cannot be revealed. Eat your heart out, Kim Jong-un. Even the date and place of this performance are suppressed.
These are all questions that Greg Dyke could ask in Sao Paulo. Nobody in world football wants to go to sweltering, booze-free Qatar, stepping over the corpses of Nepalese slave labourers. It's a tough one for slippery Sepp, because if Qatar is cancelled attention will turn to how the oligarches acquired the 2018 World Cup for Russia. The FIFA lowlifes who "looked after" Qatar likely did the same for Russia. Post-Crimea, an open revote could give it to England, a strong contender in the 2010 vote. Go Greg, go!And so it has come to pass. Blatter exonerated, his enemy awash with allegations. Is anybody really surprised by this fanciful rubbish?

Great breaking news happening now - the guy that created the actual report has stood up and said that in no way does that report today reflect his findings in any way and that there are serious issues with FIFAs own interpretation of it His initial report just needs to be leaked somewhere - somebody have the bollocks to do it! Either way, his comments must be a crushing blow to the people brushing all the evidence conveniently under the carpet! www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30037729Credit: BBC "The findings of Fifa's inquiry into allegations of corruption during bidding for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups have been questioned - by the man who conducted the two-year investigation into the claims. In an unexpected twist, lawyer Michael Garcia says the report "contains numerous materially incomplete and erroneous representations of the facts and conclusions". The 42-page report cleared both Russia and Qatar, who will host the 2018 and 2022 tournaments, of wrongdoing. It also accused the English Football Association of flouting bid rules and damaging Fifa's image. Fifa, the body that governs world football, welcomed the report and said it brought closure to the damaging episode. But Garcia's statement, issued less than four hours after the report was published, reopens the debate about the validity of the bidding process for both the 2018 and 2022 competitions. It also raises concerns about Han Joachim Eckert, Fifa's independent ethics adjudicator, who wrote the report. Eckert, a German judge, based his report on the work of Garcia, who had been appointed by Fifa to conduct an independent investigation into claims of corruption."

Not interested in the FA, they are a bunch of dodgy idiots at best, just makes me smile how Russia and Qatar can be considered to be so 'honest' in their dealings by that bastion of sound ethical behaviour Snr Blatter.
