But it's sure made my Saturday night.
Outstanding away performance from the lads and Manager - this football lark may just catch on.
Still need improvements up front and creativity in the final third.

Euphimism aside (it'd make my summer) I agree. Going into the international break and deadline day it's the perfect tonic to calm stoke fans.

Would have been very satisfied With a point today, but 3 really makes this a memorable Saturday! Tonight it's very good being a Stoke supporter!

It was good wasnt it. Seems like Hughes is doing exactly the right thing with sensible development of his playing resources. Tweaking things without taking too much away from our established strengths. Perhaps most importantly he and his assistants seem to have maintained and indeed improved the team spirit/ethic that is always going to be vital to a club of our stature in the Premier League. All in all an encouraging start that deserves a little financial backing before Monday night!

When MH said he was happy with the squad, many on here were sceptical. The start to the season proves he was right and they were wrong.
A lot of the signings made in the last few years will prove to be good buys, under this really good manager.

I didn't think we'd get anything down there today, and if I'm honest if I didnt know what the players look like I would have sworn that wasn't us today. Fabulous result. We should enjoy it but equally not put too much stall by it. Its a long season and we need 3 players , one of which has to be a striker who can score goals in the box. That said its great to be a Stokie tonight!

Still need improvements up front and creativity in the final third. Agreed. Very promising. Peter Coates might just have made one of the most important managerial appointments in our history. For the second time running

Take a look at our friends in Weirside and how quick they have pulled in a whole new starting 11 and it shows 1 point from 9 and a team with 11 individuals!

Best part is... MLH teams always start the season slowly. I was fearing we would take a while to get into our stride but the whole squad will take massive confidence from this. Hopefully will help us persuade another striker to sign.
And Sunderland getting stuffed makes it a perfect day all round.
Can't wait for Man City now...
