It is true about my boss but my wife also suffered from similar problems when she was younger. After many tests and no real clue as to what was going on she carried on as normal and hasn't suffered from any problems for over 10 years - just my luck! I tried the tube down her throat thing on a nightly basis Re my boss, it turned out that it was hereditary so family history will be a big help.

Stokeitup iv suffered 4 the last 5yr with anxiety ad the tab's off the doc didn't really do much, so went on the net and it told you u get them thru not breathin properly and when u think about it when yr hearts racin and missin a beat and u think yr going have a heartattack u do slow yr breathin, so wat he said 2 do was breath slow but deep thru yr nose and out thru yr mouth when a attack happen's and it's workd a treat 4 me.

been happening to me for last 18months or so. been heavy weed smoker for years but over past few years been an 8th every two days if not every night. dunno what set it off but i did pull a muscle in my stomach ages ago and ever sinc ehave shit it something is more wrong. have had preicarditus which is inflamation of sack of heart caused by a virus several years ago and this feels completely different than that so no my heart aint the problem. i go from feelling like i gonna die any minute to being completely fine and able to go work no problem the next day. jsut don;t get it. would go the doctors but they are a waste of time for this stuff and i always feel better the next morning. nice to hear soem other cases. guess gonna have get my head round it to sort it out. would stop the weed but its harder than it sounds to stop when been caining if for so many years. plus don;t think it is the cause as i can smoke loads still as long as doing something to occupy my mind. like someone said don;t **** out coz ya start feeling like every slight bit of pain in ya body is an attack happening

no fookin way!, I thought it was just me!
first time this happened to me, it was a strong 'feeling', i cant say pain cus it didn't hurt but it was a feeling i had never felt before and it was very very uncomfortable. I became very agitated very quickly and got myself into a panic, I was certain i was having a heart attack and ended up insisting that my mate drive me to the hospital. Man, I was bricking it.
The docs told me it was anxiety and an irregular heart rythm which is no big deal apparently, gave me a course of beta blockers (which i never took cus i was paranoid that i'd made a mountain out of a molehill)
This still happens 4 years on but I take it in my stride now.
Since i was 15 i have been smoking pot (still do every night, i'm now 32) took acid, phet and pills for about 6 years - not heavily just recreationally probably no more than once a month, dont do anything except weed now, got a responsible job, wife, kids etc.
My advice to you mate is just embrace the feeling/pain when it comes on - tell ya sen you aren't gonna die and carry on with whatever you're doing, soon enough you will learn how to handle it.
It appears that it's quite common judging by the posts on here. If you do get concerned to the point you cant deal with it the you should seek medical advice and be honest with them.
you'll be okay fella, dunna worry.

not necessarily drugs mate, as you said ABDDBN for some people suffer who have never dabbled so is it or is it not drug related?
whats it all about eh?
BTW, I dont recommend taking drugs to anybody, its not big and its not clever but its up to you but if you do, for god sake be careful.

I had a couple of years of waking up about 2am and realising i WAS GOING TO DIE.
I couldnt shake the feeling and couldnt get back to sleep. it messed me up for a long time.
anyway eventually i took up running - and its the best thing ive done. i struggled at first not being a natural athlete, but now i go a couple of short uns a week and my sleep is so much better and i am much more laid back.
well this was fine until the last couple of weeks and now all i do is lie in bed and think about stoke. its totally screwing my head up.
anyway good luck chief

Do you drink a lot of coffee? I used to drink loads of strong black coffee and started getting this sort of attack.
I only drink decaf now and rarely get an attack. If I do I can usually put it down to something like having dark chocolate earlier that day.

i do drink tea or coffee but not loads ! 3 - 4 cups a day.
i think there are lots of things that can cause it, judging by the response i ve had off people its quiet common and the serverity depends on the person. wat causes it and how they deal with it.
been very useful !
