I thought he was superb today v Palace. Great going forward and decent in defence. My second best player today after Adam. Could be a steal at 3 million.

Very good going forward but shocking at times defensively , got drawn inside far too much. But early days.

Slated him previously.
Thought he had a brilliant second half. Still a bit interesting defensively. Good going forward and a total loon.

Poor first half but made some good tackles and runs second half. Once up to the pace of the league he will do ok.

My MOM.
I slagged him off last week, but today was entirely different.
He has an unorthodox method of tackling, but comes away with the ball.
In the difficult first period, it wasn't Pieters' flank where we were wide open.
And that run and cross in the 2nd half was simple superb.

He turned the game for us! Second half he picked up the pace, started getting involved more and started to will the crowd on. Waving his arms trying to get us going! We then started to sing and that pushed us on, then BANG.......two goals.
My Man of the match!

Defenceisvly he was all over the place 1st half, always being dragged inside.
Looks like he has the potential to be a nutter and a crowd fav.

Very good game, I also thought Etherington put in a few decent crosses which he didn't do all of last season.

I thought he was really good. When you think back, they never really threatened down our left at all, we were quite solid. Some credit also has to go to Etherington, but Pieters really did to very well. In the second half he really shone. That turn of pace and cross towards the end was fantastic. Hopefully as he gets a few more games under his belt he'll get even better.

It was the other flank where the big problems developed in the first half, mate. Pieters was the steadier of the two full backs. 3 points and LMH is up and running. Hooorahhhh!

First half, iffy and far to often coming onside. Second half much better but again had tendancies to keep coming inside and against better opposition he'll come a cropper.
Noted that when Pennant came on he went to Pieters and presume he told him to calm down as his tackiling at time seemed a little strange, overall seemed a positive.

Looks very promising. He will only get better aswell as he will continue to adapt. Thaught Cameron was good aswell on the other side

I can see Pieters being like Wilko, in the sense that he'll be a crowd favourite and send a few people into the advertising boards every now and again.
