Anybody else think that this is incredible?
First home game of the season in the most hyped league in the world! New manager!
Stackable offence for the head of the marketing dept I would of thought?

Do you know how many are left? Is it just odd ones dotted around or a significant number say 1000+ or so?
When the away team don't take up their full allocation we often struggle to sell all the remaining tickets to fans who prefer to operate on a pay-as-you-go basis.

By the looks of SCFC Direct there is quite a few... in 10,18,19 the blocks with a shittier view than the others and the rest have the odd ones dotted about... like last year basically..
Palace haven't sold out and are charging fans £32 f*cking quid for travel!!!!

Good job we didn't extend the ground. We'd have never heard the last of it if there was spare capacity. I must admit though, this is disappointing for the first match of the season. T was never going to be our biggest grossing fixture but it will be a pity to see empty chairs.

We should but Gareth Bail. They will get sold if we buy him.

It's not a good sign if we can't sell out the first game with a new manager, though I suppose no new forward hasn't helped. I am travelling back to stoke now to make sure I get a few beers and the game in as I have done in seasons gone by ! My wife accepts it fortunately after many years !

Our season ticket prices are excellent value, our walk up prices aren't. Season ticket sales are down, crowds will be. Not many will be prepared to shell out £35-£50 a game, especially for the likes of Palace (no disrespect intended).

Very worrying sign.
They kept hold of Pulis for too long. Its done some damage for sure.

There are tickets available for £5 each if you know a platinum plus member, I got 2 yesterday

Our STs are very well priced, but our walk-up prices are - compared to other entertainment avaiulable - pretty blimmin' expensive. I think that's the way it should be, STs should be kept as low as possible to repay the support of the committed, and so walk-ups are going to be more expensive to compensate. Would be nice to see them lowered, mind So, I reckon your analysis of the missing is about spot on, Mr Prestwich. For some - as someone else put above - less attractive fixtures (no offense intended), walk-ups won't replace those who, for whatever reason, chose not to renew. Sad though, whichever way you look at it.

Tickets are only £25 today compared to £40 for citeh.
2 years of utter dross has indeed left damage that will take time to rebuild.

As long as the fans who are there are in good voice, the atmosphere should be improved. Let's be vocal today. Just about to leave.

According to their Twitter, Palace have only sold around 1600. Pretty abysmal really when you think it's £25 for a ticket, and their first away game back in the Prem for about 7-8 years.

You would have thought that now he is gone it would be full especially as many said they would go to games when he is gone? So what your saying is fans don't like the players

I've decided last minute to make the trip up today, will I still be able to get in if I don't have a swipe ticket? I'm registered on the system and have bought tickets before, but I've seen lots of messages about a new ticket system. If there is still tickets today, will I be able to call the ticket office and get one(anyone know what time it opens?)?

Very worrying sign. They kept hold of Pulis for too long. Its done some damage for sure. But he has been gone for 3 months and everyone who didn't renew said they would do so as soon as he went. Maybe we have got "Charlton" syndrome and don't know how lucky we were

What were the attendances before Pulis arrived? All the games under Pulis were a sell out - were they not? I did not renew my season ticket this year, partly because I am fedup up with sitting down at footy matches(we need standing areas again) and partly because I have a feeling we are going to be a back to our old pushover selves this year - I hope I am wrong though

It doesn't surprise me considering the mini-hell I had to go through to buy a ticket. A lot of people probably gave up. And many are still unaware of this 'Club Membership' thing.

No they weren't,sorry if that's blown a massive hole in your argument I consider myself well n truly put in my place In my defense there was a question mark after the sentence. But what were the attendances before Pulis arrived????? I am going to guess at around 12,000, whatever they were they were nowhere near capacity, like they are these days. The fact that we now come close to regularly filling our ground every week is down to Mr Pulis's good work - surely?

Just like the dwindling number of season ticket holders was/is down to his really fucking mind numbingly tediously boringly negative shit work he did as well.
