Just wondering what everyone is expecting from the coming season? Personally I feel it will take a majority of the season to get us playing the way MH would like and new players to "bed" in, hopefully we will be playing some better football but I feel it will take a while as the players are so used to playing the Pulis way. My expectations are a little cup run and a finish of between 11-15th, If we can do this I would regard it as a decent season and then the year after we could really push on when MH will have a squad that is fully his own choice after getting rid of some of the dead wood he inherited.

My expectation is survival. Nothing more, in what will be a big transitional season for us. I'd liken it to coming back up to the Prem, and getting used to life there again. After years of playing a certain style, it could take a couple of seasons to fully get used to a different way of doing things. Whatever happens, it should be more pleasing to the eye.

Lower mid-table, lose some more at home, win some more away. Generally more exciting to watch.

To be honest I'd take 17th if things stay as they are. I was happy about Tone going and I'm probably in the minority but I'm very happy with Hughes. The thing that worries me is the money situation. If the board have tightened the purse strings they couldn't have chosen a worse time. I really hope fans stay with the team because I can honestly see us struggling.

About the same for me. Not expecting wonders from the off, but to see gradual improvement, attempting to win away and generally better to watch. I reckon he will go all out in cup games to give a good feel to the season regardless of league position. Not expecting to be in danger at any stage.

That's an opinion I largely agree with. I certainly don't expect us to be pulling up any trees this season or being anywhere the top ten. If we keep away from the relegation dogfight and play more attack minded I think we should be happy, any more is a bonus

All the news that is coming out is that the money is there for the right player at the right price and there is no need to sell before we buy. Can't say fairer than that, especially given the circumstances. The feeling I get is that it is Hughes who has the brake on to avoid giving the impression of doing a QPR, which is a very sensible approach if true. www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/Stoke-City-won-t-spend-sake-says-Mark-Hughes/story-19637224-detail/story.html

To be honest I really look forward to us going to a away game and actually looking to get a result.
MH could do worse than going to Liverpool and looking to attack rather than parking the bus, I think this would get alot more fans behind him from the off.
Whatever happens this season I am 100% behind him and PC for the decision he had to make.

To avoid relegation on goal difference in the seasons last match against West Brom. SJW will make it happen...

I expect us to struggle all season tbh. I expect us to concede more goals due to the style of play and unless we address the lack of chances created and goals scored I expect us to be relegated.
Most important game of the season is the Palace game - Lesley needs a win to get the confidence going.

At this moment and with the squad we have, I expect to be in the relegation places. Having said that, we are only about 4 players short of avoiding that situation quite easily I think.

IF we sign a decent striker and winger then I think top 10 is achievable but without them I can't see where the goals will come from if Jones or Crouch don't perform.

Tightened purse strings A bit more attacking and excitement at home games Not go out in the first round of the cups 13-17th come May in the league Blood some young players with potential
Probably what we need in our first season with a new manager

Hope were not going to park the Aircraft Carrier instead of the bus, but survival is all that matters this season.

Steady in mid Table, playing better football home and away - a cup run perhaps ? - home ground chocablock every other week in and out so, need to fill in the corner -even more obvious
Brittannia remains a graveyard for 'cocky clubs - retains a fearsome atmosphere
Give all the top teams a 'good chasing' and perhaps even beat the odd one or three
6 points off Liverpool this season please !
ohh and Wigan stay DOWN !

Last season Stoke won 9 and drew 15 of their 38 games.
If we could edge 3 or 4 more wins, as against draws, everyone should be happy.
That's how thin the line is between an average season or a pretty good one.

Either 17th or 7th. We won't be relegated.

Main priority, as always, is to stay up. Doing it with a few more off your seat moments would be fantastic.

As things stand I think we will lose by the odd goal a lot.
However a couple of signings....
please ask again once window is shut.

To stay-up, play some football, maybe a cup run if we get lucky with the draw, and to start clawing back our image as a football club rather than a rugby club.
