Criticising someone who practices favouritism kind of criticises the beneficiaries of it too - so it was stupid to talk in this way. Those players are still Jerome's team mates. It does seen ill timed when everybody (except a bit of a knockabout on here) is so far forward on the Hughes bus that Tone isn't even in the wing mirrors anymore. Ill advised, if indeed he was advised, just get on with it and win your place.

It's hardly in the realms of Pig-gate or sticking one on your main striker, is it? Has Jerome really said anything we hadn't fathomed already? Some of the favouritism bordered on farce.

B- Got the blessing of his fellow team mates as they might well agree with him? It's not like he's saying his team mates are shit, all he's saying is no matter how hard or well you trained the manager had already decided who was playing. Now that is unfair anyway you look at it. You advised me to look forward to the new season and forget TP, doesn't seem you are taking your own advice.

It must be pretty demoralising for fringe players to know there's precious little room for upward mobility irrespective of form.

**************, You advised me to look forward to the new season and forget TP, doesn't seem you are taking your own advice. Geoff, please don't misquote me. Here's my quote. "I really enjoy your posts Geoff, but it's now time to put your Pulis pistols down and look forward to the new season. **************"Where does it say I told you to "forget TP?". By putting your pistols down I mean stop railing against anyone you suspect of "thought crimes against Pulis". I realise that you're aggrieved with TP's treatment and I respect that opinion. It's never nice when somebody loses their job but misquoting posters to suit your own argument tends to make you look a little desperate. On a messageboard words are all we have. Anyhow, no harm done, no need to apologise.

"We're not boring anymore!" Now when/where did I hear that chant before? It's going to be an interesting season, that's for sure. That came from Plymouth fans as they crashed down the leagues after TP had stabilised the club and saved them from relegation.

That came from Plymouth fans as they crashed down the leagues after TP had stabilised the club and saved them from relegation. Which had absolutely nothing to do with the financial turmoil the club became embroiled in thanks to another shady set of individuals ripping the club off. Oh no indeed. It was all due to being deprived of the wonder of Tony Pulis.

I feel in need of some clarification, as recent events are somewhat confusing.
You see, in the final weeks of TP's reign, an often repeated opinion was that anybody who was in favour of his management would disappear when he left, returning only when seats near the dugout became available so that they could throw things at the new manager. They would not let his dismissal go and would refer to him every minute of the day.
Where I have become confused is that Geoff aside, everyone seems to have moved on and it seems that the vast, vast majority are behind Mark Hughes. The only people still obsessing about Tony Pulis' management are, erm, those who spent their time on here obsessing over how much they hated every aspect of his management.
I reckon they want him back.

A Freudian playground.

This type of behaviour in a relationship is often referred to as a co-dependency.

yes...I think this is also linked with the midfield "cage" they have been kept trapped in for 7 years.

Imagine the explosion on here if he 'did a Jerome' and gave his side of that story. You can smell the hypocrisy of some already. Luckily, he will be classy and leave the 'poison dripping' for others.

Besides not needing to say anything at all and not once questioning himself, like perhaps why he didn't score once or look like scoring when he started.
