I was buzzing after the 71 minute 10 mile training run a week last Thursday.... just hoping that's the same feeling I've got after the actual race tomorrow morning What's the race mate? It's the last race of the NSRRA league season, race 20, the Flying Fox 10 miler over at Standon near Eccleshall.....plenty of hills

Best of luck 👍 Timmypotter put this link up last week but the course has been altered slightly to take a couple of junctions out and now starts at below 100 metres. There used to be a three quarter mile walk to the start but now it's the start of the race so it's now even harder. www.strava.com/segments/2684807

Good luck tomorrow Felonious! I'll be on course cheering you on.
Have you seen the pictures of the mud and floods??
Anyway don't worry about little things like that, you'll be fine 😉😉

Did the Tatton 10k this morning. Chip time of 50:15. Another big PB. Slightly disappointed not to dip under 50 minutes but my target was sub-52, so overall very happy. Really enjoyed the day. Great atmosphere. Will definitely book up for more race days. Next couple of short term targets are sub 23 for 5k and sub 50 for 10k. Well done mate, don't be disappointed! It's a really good time, and even more so with it being your first. My first 10k race was 57 minutes. Enjoy the PB.

You seemed like your preparation had gobe really well this time? Pretty much, yeah preparation was about as good as it could have gone. Might be nutrition, but I'll keep going until I get it. When are you joining me for this run you've been promising for years? Got your dad's time to beat 😉

Anyway don't worry about little things like that, you'll be fine 😉😉 I've done the new route 4 times over the last two weeks so I'm prepared for the mud. Whether I'm prepared for the competition is another matter

As I turned the last corner ad on to the home straight, I could see the clock and knew I was close. It made me kick on but I just didn't have enough in the tank. Brilliant experience.

Looking very focused at 6.5 miles Felonious, not sure you even saw me 😂 Were you in the large group on the brow of the hill? Mile 7 was a sub 7 minute mile under the plan as was mile 8. I was ok until after the hill at mile 8 when I had a twinge on the hamstring and had to take the pace off for the last two miles. Quicker than the quickest training run but 3 minutes slower than three years ago. I've got to be happy with that after only 3 and a half months back though. I need to do some serious half marathon training now to get the stamina up to normal levels.

Is it possible to run to lose weight or is it better to lose weight to run?

Is it possible to run to lose weight or is it better to lose weight to run? Both. You'll lose weight by running and eventually will have to up the calories from time to time to maintain optimum weight. If you're over your optimum running weight then by losing weight you'll run quicker through the laws of gravity

There are some fabulous clubs in the area and even out of the area. Start with a group that you're comfortable with and work your way up. The social side will get you out in the week through the winter months.

I was totally focused although I recognised a few faces on the course. I heard my name throughout the race the exception being your ex Capitan who always bawls out my school nickname The group I was thinking of were just after the end of the houses at Hill Chorlton before the drop down to Maer.
