Great going, are you doing vlm this year Sadly not, I didn't get in and nowhere near GFA. Can't really complain as I've done the last 3 VLM's though. I am training with a friend who is doing it though so am in reasonable shape at the moment. I know 2 of us Stoke fans who are doing it then, me and a lady from Whitchurch Whippets club

21 miles with 15 at MP done today.
As ready as I'll ever be! Just need to be mentally strong on the day as I know I've done the training.

21 miles yesterday morning, just over 3 hours, only 2 dogs at different points came at us on this one. Abs hiit class at 6.30 this morning was tough. Was all ready for a relaxing sauna tonight but the hotel I'm in this week has shut it and the gym for 2 weeks for a refurb grrrr

Mow Cop Hill Race this Sunday. One of the best finishes of any race around here. It's almost a mile of flat out downhill - really gets the adrenaline going in my experience 😀

Lincoln 10k for me on Sunday, tempted by the summer series this year as fancied the spring treble but it clashed with other races.

Baildon Boundary Half this morning. Mostly trail and tracks - first 8 miles relatively straightforward, including a bit of towpath to Saltaire, but then between 8.5 miles and 10.5 miles a nasty uneven ascent up Shipley Glen on a narrow footpath with some ankle-breaker rocks and roots. Started in a bit of murk, finished in sunshine. Heads up to Baildon Runners for excellent organization and marshalling throughout the whole route, makes a big difference for Tail-end Charlies like me. And a handmade ceramic medal at the finish, which pleased me no end.

Great race and still in my opinion the best supported race I've ever done in the Lincoln 10k, only bit of chaos was at the start when the organisers were trying to funnel 1500 runners down on the one pavement instead of using both sides and the race lane so the start was delayed slightly, 30seconds off a pb but 13secs quicker than 2yrs ago, very happy with 36.03 defo try again next year 😊

Definite Chorlton Runners. 😉 as for the marathon, ended up in back of ambulance at 16 with much lower leg discomfort. Couldn’t even jog/walk so first DNF in 6 years. Strange thing is for whatever reason today my shoes felt very uncomfortable 🤔 a feeling of not enough comfort around heel area. Might be time to change from the Nike’s

Went wrong for me yesterday, wheels came off just after half way and started to be sick. Managed to recover somewhat for mile 20 but damage had been done. 3:15 so still a PB, not happy with it after all the training though. Not sure what caused it but I'll have another go soon.

Edit. Did you go off too fast. It's a fast course and I remember going through the halfway point at 1:34 for which I paid later.
