At one point at about the 4K marker there were four of the buggers spread right across the path. The one blocking the path had headphones on so couldn't hear the runners coming past her. After a few you'd have thought she'd have had the decency to move over but no everyone going past her was on the grass verge.
Basic instructions at the start were for slower runners to keep to the left for all park users.

very wet run last night, why is it that after all the runs and miles so far that one of my toes was sore, and when looking going for the shower that the toe nail is now black, it was only a normal 6 miles ?

Cheadle 5 mile race at ten this morning not for the faint hearted. Pissing down, sprayed by the cars on the road section and lanes waterlogged added to with it was about three degrees with a wind speed of about 13/14 mph.
People hanging on to radiators after the race

20 miles in 2.54 this morning, went out at 6.45am, first 9 miles were fine then the rain started, couldnt even grip a mug of tea at the end, had to defrost the hands. Roll on spring.

So Rhayader. For those who dont know, its basically running around the Elan Valley....which is just a tad bit hilly! Spectacular & beautiful even when its dark and rainy (which it was). Somehow ended up doing just under 21 miles, as I went to muster back mid run to check on a fellow runner from our club who was running her first 20 mile run Including plenty of water stops/photo stops and such like, ended the day doing 3:56. Really chuffed with that as set myself a Sub 4hr target. Pity the run wasn't on the Sunday as the Valley was blessed with snow. Still...next stop: Stafford Half!

good luck with the stafford half, ive just checked, its sold out. Looks a relative flat course, so the aim of a 1:55 or less run will be ideal

We just had our last harrier league fixture this weekend gone. Spikes have been put away and time to focus on the upcoming road season. Always seem to miss Cross country when it finishes but can't wait to see the back of it up until I cross the line and realise that's it for 6 or 7 months. Next race in the calendar is the Blyth valley 10k which is a fast and flat course. Hoping to go sub 40 for the first time although training hasn't been going to plan recently.

good luck with the stafford half, ive just checked, its sold out. There are transfers floating about on their facebook page I've heard. I got a transfer from a club runner. I got a transfer a couple of weeks and paid face value plus the £10 transfer fee. People are giving them away on the Facebook group now though for just the transfer fee. Also got myself in for the Uttoxeter half end of April, no idea what to expect, looks quite small.

knighton 20? Ha! Yes. What Felonious has failed to mention is that he only did 6.66 miles of the full 20 as he was running in the relay I found that very tough today and am thinking I might have to lower my expectations for London. Still, it's another 20 miler in the bank with 10 at pace, so it's all good training. And as an added bonus, I've finally solved my nipple chafing issues.

I was going to reply to felonious with a 'or 6 and 2/3' if he responded with a yes
