Not bad. Is there a record for most clubs played for in a career? This is his tenth.

Far past it now in my opinion. More than welcome to join them. We will hopefully see West Brom far underneath us in the league now they dont have there messiah 'Lukaku' to guarantee them a top 10 spot

"He's a player I have worked with before as I was at Chelsea when they signed him. He's got a great work ethic, looks after himself and is a consummate professional...."
Really?

This does smack a bit of an Owen-esque style signing. I can understand why they've done it as he's been a decent striker for sure but i can only really see him coming on as a substitute on rare occasions late on in a game and then moping about due to lack of service. It could work though, and then won't i look silly. 30 goals for Challenge Anelka Rice, what a glorious return! It's like porridge going on in the back there.

unlike Owen I'm not aware of Anelka having a history of injuries.

Didn't impress in the Turkish league when he was there with Fenerbahce so I doubt that a couple of years later he's got anything left in the tank.
Certainly a downgrade on Lukaku I expect.

Can't see him doing much next season at all, huge down grade from lukaku

Don't think we missed the boat on this one. Old and no doubt on big monies. Rather young players who want a fight and drive to learn!

He played the withdrawn striker role, scored 14 and got 16 assists in 39 games and won them the league. But no,he didnt impress

I've had a bet with a baggies fan at work that he won't get double figures in the league! So I'm hoping he is well past his sell by date

Winning the league isnt difficult. No they are not. You don't have a clue what you're talking about. Galatasaray are by far the most supported club, locally and globally and have far more money after the owners. That's why they brought in Drogba and Sniejder just for their Euro campaign. Also Fener have won the league once in the last 7 years so shut up. seriously.

The tone of your post makes you look like a real dick imo. 3) I said Man City, not Man United. 4) Your points back me up and you make Gala look like Man United so not sure how that disputes what i said. 5) Drogba and Sneider hardly cost anything in terms of transfer fees, they just have big salaries. 6) Fener could in fact be likened more to a rich fans club and like Man City have actually won the league once in the last 7 years.

Amelia has not been signed to replace Lukaku. Clarke and the Albion board have made this clear. They are going to sign2 more strikers as they have lost lukaku, fortune and odemwingie will go. Unfortunately they will sign 2 more, one of whom will be biggish money for them so they'll start with Long,Anelka, plus 2. I think it's a great signing to have Anelka as one of your 4 options. He's supremely fit and very intelligent and superb at playing the lone striker, holding the ball up and bringing their goal scoring midfielders into play, a role he'll probably be asked to do in a lot of away games. Is anyone seriously, seriously saying they wouldn't want Anelka in the mix of our strikers. He's better than crouch, he's better than Walters, he's better than Jones and he's better than Owen simply because he's still got his pace and keeps himself very fit. I'd have loved him at the Brit, especially to work along side a young striker who hopefully we will sign. Well done WBA, just hope he doesn't score or get an assist versus us.

The point is Fener aren't rich and have never been 'wealthy', that's why Gala are more like Man city recently signing big names and trying to make a team around them. Fener are more like an Arsenal, keeping a steady place in the league, not really challenging and just hanging in there. Also why swear? It's only a forum ;D ;D ;D

Anelka chose the baggies to link up with Steve Clark again.
Hopefully we'll start reaping the rewards of Hughes former players.
El Hadj Diouf anyone????
