Did you have one and what was your 'handle'? Mine was Rubber Duck for some reason. My parents were in the Trailer Caravan Club during the 80's and loads of members in our area section had them. We had one in the car and one in the house.
1 4 1 4 for a copy??

Watched 'Wings over America' on BBC4 last week and truck drivers who were shifting all the gear between venues in about 5 trucks were all at it on CB radios

Was when Toddy Orglesson was brought and they were discussing how tempermental free signings could be if they werent selected.

I had a DIY home base set up ('cos I was still about 14 and didn't have a car to put a rig in! ). A mobile unit in my bedroom with a magmount on a biscuit tin in the loft! Boy Scout was my handle - 'cos I was errr - in the Scouts at the time. I got out as far as Congleton and maybe Mow Cop* - Biddulph's not the best location when you need to be high up to get the best signal. I bought a cheap, modern rig (with euro frequencies on) about 10 years ago and put it in my car to see if there were many people on. Mostly truckers - whether they still bother nowadays I don't know. Channel 19 was for truckers, 14 for everyione else and 9 was allegedly for emergencies. * I was blown away as to how far you could reach from Mow Cop when I actually managed to get access to a rig in a car.
