With all the managerial changes going on,i think next season will be something of a strange one.
Who knows how Man u,chelsea and citeh will go on with new bosses.
The promted 3 as usual.
Then theres us,sunderland, everton, castle, swansea who have changed manager or have backroom issues going on.
Villa, fulham, norwich and Southampton who all struggled at times last year.
I just wonder if its going to be a very dodgy season??

Me Im excited now, Could a previously unemployable manager with something to prove become a master stroke ?
Pennant back in the fold, some blindspots our club previously had, obvious to all who could see, will finally be addressed and, players who never got their proper chance, given one again
the existing squad as it stands is not too shabby actually (if truth be told)
just need to let them play a bit more and, most importantly ---- without fear
Some 'undroppables' given the size twelve boot
and add one or two new signings in those positions previous management simply did not recognise a need for
top half finish - is not an unreasonable expectation

The way I look at it we simply MUST beat Palace at home second match up.
It's the only winnable game of the first five.
If we fail to do that then we will be looking up the table and Hughes will be looking at 13 + 5 or 18 games or half a season (however you care to look at it) without a win and the temperature on his jacksy will get close to melting point.
But I guess the Coatesy's and Cartwright and co. knew that when they replaced a performing manager with one who did not in his previous role.
They are in the gambling business after all, so lets all just hope they called this one right.

Exciting. Less predictability on the pitch and in the transfer market.
Probably be more attacking, especially away from home.
Main thing for me, as mentioned above is a) players having to earn their place, no favourites and b) players in their natural positions.

I'm beginning to wonder, not because of the manager but because at this monent it looks like the board may of given the cash to a bloke who hadn't a clue

I'll be much happier if the first 10 games go well.
We have had difficult starts like this under TP and he has come through them strongly.
Let's hope LMH does the same, but unlike TP, capitalises on the good start and maintains momentum through the season.

Despite everything TP has done for us in the past, I was dreading a new season under his guidance, but now, regardless of Hughes' past record at QPR, I'm quite excited now even though it seems we may have to use the majority of the existing squad. It will be interesting to see what reaction Hughsy gets from them.
Leslie Hughes red and white Army (has a sort of ring to it ) ?

For the first time in a few seasons,I'm really looking forward to pre season, new signings coming in and the season proper to start. Still not 100% sure that Hughes was the right appointment but suppose none of us can be at the minute, but the fact that I haven't got to watch anymore Pulisball and listen to his negative press conferences anymore will do for me.

I haven't been this excited since we got promoted. The squad is ok, just needs players in their correct positions, plus 2 or 3 more to fill the gaps.

I really hope that we sign a proper full Back for starters, and then play whatever players that we have in their right positions and see how it goes. Yet again we have a bad start to the season in respect of the matches that we have to play.I just hope we can overcome it.

There is no saying that Hughes is going to do the job we all want him to do,but we were going nowhere under Pulis and everything I had seen over the last two seasons was suggesting we were only going backwards,so it was definitely worth the risk if you ask me. Like you say the unpredictability of a new manager is exciting in itself.

Shitting it. I have a horrible nagging back of the head feeling Hughes is going to royally fuck us over. Love or hate pulis at least i knew what to expect. I hope to god I'm wrong. And if I am i will be the first on here to hold my hand up and say I was wrong.

I just want the Britannia rocking again loud and proud is that too much to ask for? We got away from that spirit... Imo we just need a few good additions and we can hash it out again. We`re stoke. Get behind all of em and theres no need to be worrying about signings until AUG 31!

I think there's a fair chance that next season will be every much as 'cack your pants' as end of Feb to May became last season.
The facts are;
There will be change in style of play to some degree which always rings some alarm bells
Some long term, popular and influential old guard faces have left and probably more will leave and some that are left behind patently don't have the same minerals
There is clearly some turning off the bet365 bounteous spring, we may get some big names in but the due diligence is going to be rigorous, making moving quickly difficult
Face it kids, Hughes, who got my vote, may be well short of the task at hand. there is some definite doubt about his credentials
Part of the new behind the scenes team was a major part of what has now become seen as the train wreck of the previous regime and the new head honcho of recruitment has absolutely no track record
15th or so would have to be seen as acceptable season 1 wouldn't it?

A reported £31 million pound loss under Pulis is bound to put the shits up the Coates family .
Expect a bumpy ride this season.

A scary season. Survival is the goal. I reckon 2 of the 3 promoted will go back down plus a PL club that will be in turmoil I just hope thats not us. We have the quality already but will the team spirit be destroyed even more.
