To be fair to Charlie, he has had less freedom in his play and a different style of player to pass to! Dembele, Baird and Hangeleand would also make life easier for Charlie imo
Mark Hughes was an unpopular signing by many, given time I'm sure he will be well respected here: as for Danny Murphy? I'm not so sure.

Stupid comparison, Murphy is the fulcrum, that everyone passes to, whereas Adam has been stuck out wide.

There is a link via the first post here. The article does highlight some interesting data - but given more freedom, it's Charlie Adam every time for me! I hope that Mark Hughes agrees and gives him the chance to play in a more positive role!

Charlie Adam and Murphy had a lot of difference in time on the pitch.

Is Danny Murphy still alive?

Murphy in his pomp was a much better player. This is the truth. How old is Danny Murphy now though?

I stopped reading the article when he described us as 'brutish'. Southern ponce alert.

Adam completed around a quarter of the amount of passes that Murphy did, yet still created more clear cut chances?
Sounds like Murphy had a touch of the "backwards, sideways, backwards/Joe Allen" about him.

Adam barely played though? How can they compare the two?

Adam barely played though? How can they compare the two? They're insinuating Hughes will deploy Adam in a similar manner to which he had Murphy playing.

800+ more passes, 1 less chance created!

800+ more passes, 1 less chance created! lots of wasted passes then? Or 800 more passes contributed to Fulham's 49 goals to our 34. Depends which way you you want to look at it.

I agree with you both, just making a case for stats are difficult prove anything on 2 players in 11 man team. Hence, question mark.
