Something that TP did not really utilize much but certainly an avenue Leslie could go down? Got to be some mileage in these if were keeping a lid on the spending.

Not massively keen on these myself. One maximum as far as I'm concerned. Look at West Brom...they now have to replace Lukaku.

But he was a big factor why they did so well.

One or two perhaps , Chelsea , Man Utd , Arsenal fringe players , but in reality we now need to start building for the long term. New younger players from abroad ....quicker than what we have , Abdy from Palace ...

Arguably we had Michael Owen on one last year and we've got Pennant for this year!

Owen was quite possibly a 'non-runner' from the start....an unbelievably farcical and ridiculous signing.

One of life's mysteries is why TP was so keen to utilise the loan system in the Championship and yet has hardly used it in the Prem. Loans with a view to buying can work out well as Pennant, Shawcross and Delap showed.

I don't think we need a right back but if Rodgers is stupid enough to loan out Wisdom (Liverpool's best right back imo) then it'd be rude not to have him wouldn't it?

I don't agree with them. Managers or clubs helping out there mates like Chelsea lending WBA Lukaku and talk of Man U loaning Zaha back to Palace. It builds a false economy and is unfair.

I take Niang from Milan on loan. Or Boakye. Or another one could it be Odouamadi and Didac VilĂ from Milan.

The only way I think these are good is with a view to a permanent deal. That way they're playing for something and you won't lose out on them afterwards like WBA will be with Lukaku. When Pennant first came on loan, you could see he was playing for a deal and he was fantastic. Arguably we had Michael Owen on one last year and we've got Pennant for this year! If he doesn't impress then this could be his last season at a top flight club.

Personally I think its wrong that clubs can loan players to or from other clubs in the same division and the sooner the FA stop it the better.

for LB, Fabio from utd or Bertrand from Chelsea they'll Save us money and they're reasonable targets. Mourinho and moyes may not want them.
