We should cut our losses and let him go to be honest. For whatever reason it quite clearly hasn't worked out for him at Stoke.
It's a shame because he has a lot of ability inside him somewhere. I have no fucking idea where it is though.

I'd say it's very unlikely Hughes will be prepared to lose a player in a position in which we currently have fuck all depth.

Don't see why things for lightly can't improve now Pulis has gone... Not saying it was TPs fault but fresh manager fresh start MH may get the best out of him!!

Worth keeping him around for now, if he still isn't cutting it by Jan then sell him off.

At this point anyone under contract needs to stay.

Agreed Rob, especially someone on such a long contract. He could be good bench fodder but nothing more. Ethers has shot his bolt and Shea is untried. It'll be interesting to see who Hughes buys for the wing.

All over the evening post billboards round here. I reckon kightly will get a new lease of life under the new gaffer. Fresh start and new ideas on the training pitch for everyone. Hope he gets another crack at it, there is a player in there.

Tried? More like tried, scored, dropped, tried, scored, dropped etc etc. A winger who has had to feed off scraps and mistakes from the opposition defence and never got a run in the team. If the football improves then so do the players. There is only so much you can do when the ball flies over your head all the time.

Hughes will need a look at him before he goes anywhere else..its just common sense to see if he can cut it under a New Man with a different brief than Pulis had given him. I can see him given an opportunity at least initially before he then gets shipped off to Huddersfield or Wolves.

He's a decent lad with a good work ethic but his quality from wide areas is awful.
I can't see him featuring much to be honest.

Don't see the point in losing a player when squad numbers are now very low i.e. below 20?

Don't see the point in losing a player when squad numbers are now very low i.e. below 20? I get what you are saying but I can't see him making that much of an improvement to feature after being so poor last time. If we could get something for him plus it free's up another wage to bring in a better quality player.

it was said in the Nottingham evening post that until mark hughes has assessed all the squad no decisions as to who (ie kightly) goes or stays will be made..

I have no fucking idea where it is though. The reasons being the ones I gave before he signed. Wolves had the best of him before he was injured. He's lost his pace and any ability to beat a man. H

One of the worst footballers we've had since being back in the Prem. I'd agree with that. Struggling to think of many others that don't look like they've ever played football before.

Most of us on here thought he was Pele when he scored against Reading And how about his goal at Old Trafford Fluke or genius as he wove his way through the United defence ? Either way it was the single most jaw-dropping moment of last season yet no one ever seems to mention it
