Rory and Mama played a massive part in our recent history, our promotion to the Prem and securing our status once there too. Furthermore they were the ultimate professionals. Never rocked the boat, never sulked when left out. Just gave there all for the club whenever selected and played with a smile on their face too. I can't understand any negativity towards either of them. All the best lads. Thanks for the memories. And without perhaps the same impact, Whitehead was the ultimate team player who epitomised what we were about and always gave 100% when called upon.

Yeah I liked Deano despite his limitations.
When he was on his game he was very suited a TP caged midfield.
Again, always gave his all and never moaned when out of the team.
It was these type of characters and professionals that helped generate the spirit we had in the group a few years ago.
That played a big part in our first couple of seasons in the prem.

Not a dig just curious

Never a fan of Mama but good luck anyway. Liked Rory up until the third premiership season but he is a legend no doubt. I personally would have offered Deano a 1 year contract because he's a great squad player and unsung hero in my opinion.

Strange how they thank the players who are leaving "The Club would like to thank all the players for their contribution during their time with us and wish them all the very best for the future" but don't thank any of the coaching staff?

End of last season when he blatantly kicked the ball out of play and then gave the Stoke fans the "f**k you" look still doesn't sit nicely with me. May not be a massive deal but its something that sticks in the memory.

Fair enough mate but he probably regrets it tbf He did care enough to lay into Abdoulaye that day at Arsenal though when he was shirking We digress though and love them or loathe them all the players should go with thanks for their part

Sad to see Rory go. Phenomenal professional and a huge part of the club's recent history. Mama hasn't really been a Stoke player for years but again has been a real pro and was hugely important to our promotion.

So is Pennant definitely going? Or is that article simply suggesting his contract is up?

Some good servants to the club going, Delap and Sidibe. Thanks but football moves on.
Don't like to see people out of work but it's a blessing the coaching pygmies have gone. Hopefully they'll find work at other clubs. Hopefully we can look forward to better coached players who are adaptable and can control a football!!

Do any other supporters have such hatred for members of the fucking coaching staff. We're a strange bunch!
I remember being in Woking a few months in to our first season and some kids were playing football by a railway line and two of them were arguing who had the best 'Delap' on them. Being a supporter of a club for 20 years prior, whose players a person in Woking wouldn't have known if they knocked them of bike, it put quite a spring in my step. Good luck to Rory, Mama and Deano.

Good riddance the lot of em Yep. Good riddance to Rory Delap. One of the key figures in our promotion and subsequent comfortable survival. A player of character, commitment and influence. The kind of player that you can genuinely call a role model.

A bit like hatred for technical directors and chief executives aswell, I know, we are a strange bunch. I don't hate the technical director (some say head of scouting and player recruitment) I merely ask what his credentials are to do the job and refuse to celebrate his increasing power based on him keeping goal for Colwyn Bay and working for fucking Beswicks! You've got me on the Chief Exec though. He is a grade A cock end

Well played Rory Delap. You contributed a great deal more than your world famous long throw to the progress of Stoke City. I think Rory will make a career of coaching or managing in the future.

Rory Delap - total legend, perfect role model. Mama - legend..Both would walk over hot coals for this football club.
I have a lot of respect for Deano too, good professional, not his fault he isn't good enough anymore, and good attitude.
Thanks for the years guys and best wishes for the future.
